That afternoon I went looking for Jonathan for a ride back but I couldn't see his car anywhere. I sigh, he must have left already. I start my walk back home, when a car pulls up beside me.
"Hey sweetheart, looks like you need a way home, hop in"Billy says, I look around with no other option since it was cold and I didn't have a jacket with today.
"Hi Billy, who's this?"I question him of the girl in the passenger seat
"My step sister Max"He tells me
"Hey Max, I'm Danielle Byers"I tell her
"Wait, are you related to Will Byers?"She asks me, I smile. This must be his new friend Max. He was telling me about that trick or treating with him.
"Yes, he's my cousin"I tell her, she smiles at me
"Where are we heading for"He asks me, I tell him the direction of the way to Joyce's house.
"Thanks I guess Billy for the ride"I tell him, unsure.
"Anything sweetheart, maybe I could give you another type of ride another time"He wink, I roll my eyes at him
"Yeah keep dreamin' Hargrove"I say, I see Max smile in the passenger's seat
I walked inside to an empty house, so I went into my car again and headed off for Steve's house as he still has my clothes, he isn't getting his shirt back. It was one of my favourite show's merch and it's mine now. I knock on the Harrington's door
"Hello who might you be dear" Mrs.Harrington says
"Hey Mrs.Harrington, is Steve here?"I ask her
"Yeah he is"She replies
"I just left some uh books here from studying"I tell her, she nods and let's me in.
"He's just upstairs"She tells me
"Thank you Mrs.Harrington"I smile and walk up the stairs. I knock on his door
"Go away Mom"Steve says
"Oi Harrington open up"I say knocking louder
"Danielle?"He says, confused.
"You kinda have my clothes and I don't think Nancy would be happy to see another girl's clothes on her boyfriend's floor, especially her best friend's clothes"I rant, grabbing my costume.
"Remember to breath Byers"He tells me
"You never guess who I ended up getting a lift home with"I say, looking disgusted
"By the look on your face, I'm going to say Billy Hargrove"He guesses
"You guess right, and he already offered sex on the table in front of his sister"I say, like it's the most disgusting thing in the world. As I was rambling on, I notice Steve just staring at me in a daze
"I get I'm pretty Harrington but no need to stare"I say sarcasm dripping in my voice, he stutters out words. I just laughed,I noticed butterflies floating around my stomach and thought the worst soon after I head off home so Joyce wasn't worried as to where I was.
That night we had dinner then most of us were in bed early, Joyce fell asleep in with Will, It was adorable. I grab the camera, make sure the flash is off and take a picture of the cute moment. I then head to the couch and fall asleep there since I couldn't be bothered to get the bed set up.
The next morning I woke up and it was about 10am which surprised me. I never sleep that long. I also had school. I sigh and quickly get ready
"Morning other sleepy head"Joyce says
"Morning"I yawn, I see Will who just looks out of it.
"Hey buddy how are you?"I ask him
"Just a bit out of it"Hey says, I pull him in for a hug and hug him tightly
"See you Aunt Joyce, I'm really late for school"I yell to her
"Bye Honey have fun"She says. I run to my car and drive off to school
