That night I went up to my room, I was waiting for a call from Steve but there was no call that night, I was worried he forgot or got hurt or something. I fell asleep that night uneasy.
The next morning, I was doing some stuff in the kitchen, getting meals ready and stuff as mom was on business, I heard the door bell "Somebody get that"I yell out
"Getting Ellie it, calm down"Jonathan says. I hear a deep muffled voices and walk out to see El being put in cuffs
"Jane...?"I trail off
"Officer, what's this about?"I ask them
"The incident at Rink O mania yesterday"He says
"Officer I was there, I work there, I'm a witness"He puts his hand up to stop me. We follow them out.
"Can you please tell us where you're taking her?"Jonathan asks
"Are the cuffs really necessary?"Mike asks
"Officers, answer us." I say
"Eleven. Eleven, listen to me. Okay?"Mike says, trying to get her attention
"Jane, your gonna be alright"I promise her, she looks at me slightly, a signal of help and sadness.
"Will your in charge, I'm gonna follow them up shortly"I say, running to the house. Grab my keys and wallet and run out to my car to follow after them.
"JUST LET ME SEE MY SISTER"I yell at the receptionist
"Your not a legal guardian or parent"She tells me
"WHAT IF HER MOTHER IS NOT WITH US, HUH"I continue to yell.
I see Jonathan, Will and Mike enter
"LET ME SEE HER"I yell, I me being tugged back. I cry into Will's shoulder. Him slowly rubbing my back.They wouldn't let us in, we went out the front and I see a van go and I can sense she's in there
"I'm following'I say, going to my car
"Wait Dani"
"Ellie, we can think of something else."I ignore them and followe behind.
I followed for ages trying not to be noticed when I see them stop up ahead, I see another car and see Jane jump out of the van, I continue ahead
"Jane!"I exclaim
"Dani"She questioned
"005?"I see, Doctor Owens. I take a deep breath in. I get out of the car, I end up with Jane in a nice diner with Doctor Owens
"Sorry about all the theatrics. I... I didn't mean to scare you. But you got yourself into quite the little predicament, didn't you? You know, I relocated you guys to Lenora because I thought, you know,"Safe town, small, dull, far from Hawkins." "Nothing could happen here." And what was it, a roller skate or something?"Owens went on
"Ready to order some food?"The waitress said
I think so. Yeah. I'll just... uh... Some more coffee and, um, I'll have a... How about the club special? Whatever you want, kiddos. It's on me."Owens offers, I think for a moment
"I'll also have the club special,"I say, Owens nods at me
"Good choice"He smiles
"Waffles, please."Eleven responds
"Never too late in the day for breakfast, that's what I say."Owens laughs
"Am I in trouble?"El speaks up
"For the roller skate thing? No, no, no, no. We'll make that go away. Don't even... Don't even worry about that. "Owens says
"That's not why you're here?"El questions, I give him a questioning look.
