"Don't you dare touch these kids like you just did"I say, venom lacing my voice, my blood boils until it overflows and I punch him hard in the face. He laughs as blood start to dribble from his nose
"I've been waiting to see your fire, Danielle 'the fierce' Byers"Billy sneers. He doesn't hit me though
"I was taught better than to hit a girl though Byers, you're lucky"Billy says, really close. Steve then punches him to get him off me and fights him as he says similar things he said to me. Steve was beating his ass until it turned. Billy started to beat the shit out of Steve, I try to intervene. I punch Billy again to stop him from punching Steve but he pushes me into the bookshelf, I see regret in Billy's eye as it happens but I feel my consciousness go in and out. Max grabs a needle and fills with the stuff they gave to Will and stuck in his neck.
"What did you do?"Billy says confused, then falls. Max picks up the bat and holds it up
"From here on out, you leave me and my friends alone. Do you understand?"Max says, bravely.
"Screw you"Billy muttered, Max swung the bat on the floor but close to his private area.
"Say you understand! Say it! Say it!"Max yells
"I understand"Billy mumbles
"What"Max says
"I understand,"Billy mutters, then passes out. I then also lose consciousness.
I woke up in the back of a car and panicked
"What's going on"I say,
"Is this Billy's car?"I exclaim,I see Steve beside me. I look to Dustin
"Is he alright"I ask him. He nods. Soon enough Steve stirs awake and looks at Mike
"Nancy?"Steve questioned, Mike gave him a weird look.
"Steve don't touch it"I tell him, he turns to Dustin
"Hey buddy..shh"Dustin says
"It's okay, you put up a good fight"I sooth. Steve then panics at Max driving and then realise and my eyes widen
"Stop the car,"Steve repeated. We drift to a stop.
"Whoa"Dustin says
"Incredible"Mike says
"I told you zoomer"Max replies. We all get out of the car slowly. Steve falls out
"Easy Harrington,"I told him. They start getting gear on, I decide to just go with it, we're here now. I get handed my backpack and grab my gun out. Steve sighs in defeat
"Little shits"I mumble.
"Holy shit."I say, this reminds me of the time I was in the upside down
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's this way."Mike says.
"You're pretty sure, or you're certain?"Dustin asks
I'm 100% sure. Just follow me and you'll know."Mike responds
"Whoa, whoa, whoa.Hey, hey, hey, hey.I don't think so."Steve says, stopping the kids
"What? "Mike says, confused
"Any of you little shits die down here, I'm getting the blame.Got it, dipshit? From here on out, I'm leading the way.Come on, let's go."Steve says, firmly
"Come on."I tell them, we speed walk through the tunnels
"Come on a little hustle"Steve shouts
I shine my flashlight around, walking next to Steve
"Guys come on"Steve says.
Suddenly I hear dustin scream
"Shit, shit, shit help, help"Dustin screams
"Dustin"Lucas says
"What happened"Steve says, moving through
"It's in my mouth, someone got on my mouth shit!"Dustin exclaims, then starts coughing
"Shit"I say, then spits stuff out
"I'm okay"He says.
We walk through a tunnel
"Alright Wheeler, I think we found your hub"Steve says, we start putting gasoline everywhere around the hub, we get up out of the way
"You guys ready?"I ask them
"Ready"They all say
"Light her up"Dustin says, I pull my lighter out
"We're in such deep shit"Steve says, as I open my lighter and I throw it right in the middle of the hub
"Let's go, let's go"Steve repeats and repeats as we run through the tunnels.
"Help, help help"Mike yells as he falls, something grabs him. We all try to pull him Steve go to whack it with the bat when I decide to risk it and use them, I flick my wrist forward quickly making it let go
"Are you ok?"I question, I see a suspicious look from Mike but ignore it
"We gotta go, we gotta go now"Steve says. Dart was sat in front of us
"Dart"Dustin says, he walks towards him and we protest but he does anyway. Dustin get's him distracted enough for us to leave.
"Let's go, let's go,"Steve says.
We hear them from behind and we get everyone up. We get everyone else up but me, Dustin and Steve. We hear them come past but they don't stop, Steve holds us both to him as they go past us. I feared one would. I look up at Steve and he looks at me, I just do it. I lean in closer as he does the same and close the gap between us into a slow kiss and slowly pull away
"Eleven"Mike says, I should've just told them and helped her.
Steve boosts Dustin up, then me next, I put my hand up for him to grab and help pull him up, the lights are bright but soon die down. Steve drives us back to the Byers, once we get there Steve stops me to say something
"If I were to ask you for a chance, would you say yes?"Steve asks me, making direct contact with me.
"Yes"I answered him, pulling him into a nice passionate kiss and pulling away from him relieved.
One month later
We were helping Will get ready for the snowball that was happening. I went with Jonathan to drop him off and wait by the middle school for Steve to arrive. I smile at Steve as he pulls up, Dustin gets out of the car
"You look very handsome, Dustin"I tell him, he smiles widely. I walk to Steve's car and hop in beside him.
"Hey Steve"I greet
"Hey Dani,"He says, kissing my cheek.
After my dad died, Mom ran off without me, too scared to live in Hawkins, so now I live with Joyce but I feel as though she is keeping something from me but I don't want to push it, so I just payed attention to Steve as we listen to the mixtape I gave him last year for christmas.
Summer break came quickly, soon enough Senior year was over. I couldn't believe it. I got a job at Hawkins pool as a lifeguard but found out after I got hired that I now work with Billy. The new Starcourt mall opened as well, it looked amazing and that's where my boyfriend Steve works at scoops ahoy with Robin, who I was quick to become close with.
