My mind races at that thought, and I'm not sure why. Normally, I wouldn't give two shits about what a mysterious human or creature he is. Still, I'm also normally able to tell what kind of creature a person is, considering I've spent more than 2,000 years around supernatural creatures. Yet, I'm not able to figure out what this boy is. Before my mind can go too far down this rabbit hole, I teleport myself into my sister's room and luckily she's not doing anything that I would regret just popping in unannounced.
"Welcome to the party," Cae says smiling. "Here to help figure out how we get the human out of this school?"
"I'm here for a different reason, but getting him to leave out of fear is going to be harder than expected," I answer, taking a seat on Ari's bed. "The human isn't so human after all."
"What do you mean?" Ari asks. "And why is it going to be harder than expected? Is my brother losing his touch?" she asks again in a teasing tone.
"I'm not losing my touch, he just claims that he has nothing to fear since he has nothing left to lose. And I don't think he's human because he saw the scar," I explain, purposely leaving out the strange sensation I've been feeling for the last half hour or so.
"You mean the scar you claim is there, yet is invisible?" Jasper asks.
"Yes, that scar."
"Why is that such a big deal?" Cae asks in confusion.
"Because the only people, or creatures rather, that can see it, shouldn't be on the earthly plane," I explain.
"I thought you said the only things that can see it have to have a certain power that no one but you holds," Ari says in confusion as well.
"There are some that hold similar powers, but as aforementioned, they're not supposed to be on the earthly plane."
"Then what damn plane are they supposed to be on?" Cae asks, sounding annoyed that I'm withholding the information.
"Heaven."
"Heaven?" Cae and Jasper ask in unison.
"Wait, you're saying you think he's supposed to be in Heaven right now?" Ari asks with the same confusion as the other two.
"I'm not saying anything about him belonging there. All I'm saying is that the only creatures that can see the scar reside in Heaven; on both Nature and God's side."
"So how are we supposed to figure this out? Go to the library and search for books on humans with heavenly powers?" Cae asks in a sarcastic tone.
Annoyed, I vamp across the room and pin him against the wall by his throat. "Don't get snarky with me, Sandu," I threaten, my face changing.
"Hey, there's no need to get violent, brother," Ari says, pulling me off Cae.
"Cae and I will go search the library for any information, but until then, you need to either go for a walk or wolf out," Jasper tells me, stepping between Cae and me.
"That sounds like a fantastic idea. Now, you boys leave me alone, I still have homework to do," Ari says, basically kicking us out of her room.
The three of us walk out of her room right as Grace and Cas, which I've recently learned is the human's name from eavesdropping, arrive at Grace's door, accompanied by Adams and Jayce, the werewolf alpha. I can feel the hatred radiating from both Cae and Jasper as they take notice of him as well and all we get in response is a dirty look from Jayce, who's currently holding a very faint-looking Cas against his side. Cas makes eye contact with me, but I ignore him and I can feel his eyes following us down the corridor until we're out of eyesight.
