I was wide awake last night. The house was too quiet for me and I was hearing creaking and groaning all over the house. I was tempted to take a peek in Asher's basement, but that was the last thing I wanted to do. Basements used to be my favorite place, until they weren't. I've lost all interest in hurting people like Brad wanted me to. Seeing that Asher is just as crazy, there's no telling what I might find down there.

I was supposed to hang out with Sha'Kera and Alexander today. I don't even know what we're going to do. Maybe we'll get lunch, but what will we do after that? Maybe they'll have a few ideas. I haven't hung out with them in years. We've all been so busy with our lives and haven't even thought of each other. Well, at least I haven't. I don't know what they do in their spare time.

Well, that sure didn't help. I know Sha'Kera probably went back to sleep the moment she saw Alex's last text. She's just that quick. If only I could do that. My mind was reeling with other worries, too. Aaron hadn't been on my mind since Monday night, but now he was. I just had to get those files to him and everything would be over. No more keeping secrets from Asher and ruining our marriage.
