A/N: I meant to post this chapter a while ago, but with the holiday shopping madness and getting sick randomly, I got held up. Three things before we get started, Robin, the character with Viggo is not Robin Hood, he's a created character I came up with. Look up Sihtric Kjartanson from The Last Kingdom, in my mind's eye, he looks like the character from season 3 of that show. Second, Viggo is going to stand trial and many will want him to be killed, mainly Mala and many Hairy Hooligans. Last but not least, Hiccup will have a threesome with Astrid and Heather after he makes his choice on what to do with Viggo.
(Normal pov— York)
Along the River Ouse, a Viking longship bearing dark green sails and the emblem of a stag's head on the side, the emblem of the Elgring Clan, these Vikings had just made landfall after several hours at sea. Within this longship, there were both warriors and royalty that were eager to have words with King Hiccup. These Vikings had come from the capital of Frankia, Paris, they were part of a depleted Viking army that had lost many of their warriors to the treachery of the Franks and their superior strategies of war and their inventions of war. These Vikings have come to England to plead for the aid of the King of Vikings and the vast number of warriors and dragons he commanded.
Disembarking from this ship was a woman with dark brown hair, light brown eyes, and porcelain skin while draped in a bear fur cloak. This woman was Aud Haraldsdottir, who was the sister of Harald Haraldson, and an heir to the Fairhair dynasty. Prior to learning of the conditions of Scandinavia and how it's no longer livable, Aud and a significant amount of the Fairhair army were dispatched to join with the leader of the Elgring Clan, Sigfred, they had sought to do what Vikings had not attempted to do since the days of Ragnar Lothbrok— reinvade Paris and claim its riches and resources. Though the Vikings decided to revisit Frankia and attempt to take Paris once again, it was an endeavor that killed many brave Scandinavian warriors, not only by the hands of the Franks but also thanks to a mysterious plague and hordes of man-eating rats. With the ruthlessness of Paris' army and facing the threat of plague and rat hordes, the Vikings in Frankia were stretched thin and were in dire need of reinforcements.
And with the number of warriors and dragons that are under Hiccup's command, the Vikings could sack Paris and show the cowards that reside there that Vikings are not to be trifled with.
"Do you know where York is?"
Turning to one of the ambassadors speaking on behalf of the Elgring Clan was Sigfred's uncle, Toka Sinricsdottir. As the blond disembarked from the longboat to stretch aching, stiff limbs, Aud hummed in confirmation. "I remember coming to York as a girl. It's not far. If my brother and those under the Fairhair banner are among the Scandinavian migrants, we'll regroup with them, I need to tell him that the cowards in Paris killed our brother, Folkwin, in his sleep." Aud's jaw tensed violently, remembering finding a Frankish assassin killing her younger brother in his bed. After disarming the assassin, Aud roused the Viking encampment, and they all gave the assassin thousands of cuts and sent Folkwin's mutilated murderer back to Paris' king, Huebald the Fierce, not only was he a descendant of Rollo Lothbrok, but he knew how to inflict grievous injuries on the Vikings; goading them into foolish action and making them easier to deal with.
"You wish to unleash the full might of Scandinavia on Huebald."
Huffing, Aud turned to Toka. "Of course! Those cowards killed my brother in his sleep! I would see Paris' king dragged out of his opulence and face my wrath," she then exhaled heavily. "But we need to sway the mind of Hiccup Haddock III to join us and what remains of the Northmen in Frankia." Before Toka could reply, the warriors that had accompanied the two women formed a shield wall. Several Vikings perched on top dragons suddenly landed in front of the two women, causing their crew to tense and had their weapons ready.
