Tris POV

Tobias is leaning outside the train car slightly as I talk to Will. I don't know how long it takes for me to fall asleep on Wills shoulder.

The Dream

I sit in a grey chair, in the same white room as always. A tear slips from my eyes as I prepare to face whatever is ahead.

I look at the second grey chair in front of me as d close my eyes as I think of who might appear before me when they open again.

"Hello, Beatrice." My mother says bitterly. She spits my name out like a snake spits venom.

"Hi, mom."

"I am very disappointed in you Beatrice." I remember when I was young and my mother would say that to me after I did something wrong. That is what always hurt the most. It was worse than any punishment. I realize when she says it that it still hurts like a thousand knives going through me.

"You chose to save your friend instead of your family."

"You died for me. It wouldn't have been fair of me to bring you back." Besides, I needed to bring back soldiers to help with the ongoing war.

"That does not matter now! We are your family and you chose not to save us! It's your fault we died, but you won't save us! We are dead, but you are too caught up on your own little petty problems and that boy! How is it that you love Four more than your own family?!"

"Don't say that." I whisper. I try forcing her out if my head.

Get out! Get out of my mind! Get out!

"It's your fault we're dead!"

Wake up! Wake up, Tris! Please wake yourself up! Wake up!

I am shaken awake by Tobias and Will. They look concerned.

Tobias puts his hand on my good shoulder. "We'll talk about this later, okay?" I nod.

Will POV (Because I can!!!!)

After a while, Four tells us we need to jump.

"So what happened? After I left?" I ask. Tris looks upset.

"Erudite started a war. We stopped it. But we are about to be caught inside a new one." Tris explains. I nod. I know that the Erudite brainwashed the Dauntless. I'm glad I left them. They were cruel. They manipulated people and spread lies about the Abnegation. I hate them. That's why I left.

"And w-who's g-gone?"

"Caleb, Al, Lynn, and Eric," Four says. I nod.

"And Chris? What happened to her?" I start to get worried.

"Christina is fine. Still as tough as cotton balls, though, of course." Tris says. I smile. I look at both of them with pleading eyes.

Let me go see her.

"Seventh floor, third door to your left," Tris directs. As soon as she gives me directions I run. I burst through Christina's door.

"Why the hell do you think you can just barge in here unannounced!" She says from another room. Then she comes out.

"Will?" I nod. She jumps into my arms. "Will! Oh thank God, Will! I thought I lost you forever! I missed you!" I can hear her voice breaking as tears start to form in her eyes.

She starts to kiss my neck fiercely-passionately. I lift her head up just enough so that my lips meet hers. She slides down me, careful not to remove her lips from mine. She locks the front door and we head to her room. She locks that too.

I pull away. "Are you sure you want to do this?" I just got back, I want to be with her in every way I can before we lose each other again. So why am I hesitating?!

"I'm Dauntless aren't I?" So is Tris, I think automatically remembering her fear of intimacy.

I start to kiss her again, and things lead on from there.
