TW: bullying, racism

three weeks later (middle of November)

"I can assure you that-"

"No, we will handle it. Sir, you need to relax!"

"It will still take place, I'll make sure of it. This is just a minor complication. Nothing we haven't faced before."

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a statement to make"

With that Riley ended the call and slumped down on her chair. She rubbed her eyes out of tiredness and sat up to type something into her laptop. A knock was heard on the door and after a short "Come in" a young women dressed in a baby-blue suit entered.

"Miss McEvery, have you already wrote a statement?" The woman closed the door behind herself and turned back to Riley.

"Why are you so formal Miss Rin?" Riley raised an eyebrow at the newcomer who had taken a seat opposite of her, at the other end of the desk.

"The door was still open, don't need eveyone to know that I know you in private" The black haired girl explained and inspected one of the opened files in front of her.

"My dear Sora, always so careful" Mocked Riley and snatched away the file from the other girl's hands, "if you are gonna be professional, this is secluded information" Sora rolled her eyes and just took a pencil to play with.

"Seriously though, have you written that damn statement?" Her voice had turned serious again but that was only because she was concerned for her best friend. At work she may only be her assistant but at home those two were close enough to be considered sisters. Even though they were visually and personality vise total opposites, they clicked well with each other.

"I'm on it. Technically it wasn't even the company's fault but when I say that it looks like I'm just trying to find excuses." Riley turned to the screen and started typing something. Sora tried to read along but the screen was too far turned away.

"What about that?" Asked Riley finally and gave Sora access to the screen.

A few days ago a lot of critism was voiced against the Company. A load of vaccination injections should have come with a ship from Italy, where they are produced, to Seoul. But the ship didn't have certain papers so the government forbid them to dock at the harbour.

Just two weeks later they could finally come on land but the products were already expired by then. Riley gave the instruction to not sent out anything and wait for the next ship. Something went wrong within the different parts of the system and the products were delivered to private people, hospitals, doctors offices and their pharmacies.

Luckily Riley was informed of that just two days later and immediately called all the products back but a lot of people voiced their critism and want a damage payment becuase they supposedly already used it and now felt sick.

"The expiring date is literally only a guideline and for that presice product it wouldn't even do damage to you if you use it two years late. But no, people need to be shitty and demanding something in return!"

Riley has been on edge the past weeks. For one, her final exams before graduation were coming painfully close. Going hand in hand with that, her parents were loading more and more responsibilities onto the twins, making Riley the one responsible for the whole of Asia, at least the countries they were in already, and Australia. It was a bunch of work.

To add on, the uproar of her relationship with StrayKids member Changbin hasn't died down by now - it was only getting worse for that matter. Theories were plotted, teams were made - pro and contra Riley- and the direct haters haven't had the muse to keep their mouths shut either.
