- short one at the moment. Sorry guys! -

Regina lifted her head, as she arched a perfect brow to the persons figure in front as she scanned their body. The blonde chuckled down towards the woman, "It's good to see that I can still make you speechless dear". Regina scowled for a moment, rolling her eyes as she allowed the woman to enter her home.

"Why are you here Mal? I thought you left forever ago to finish your degree?" The tall blonde grabbed the brunette's hand nodding leading her into the kitchen a little further. "I was and graduated. So, now I'm here to see my favorite queen". Regina let out a laugh, "I'm a mayor dear not a queen". While the pair talked for a few more moments, the patter of small feet trailed to the kitchen. The small blonde came in rubbing at her eyes, and in her other arm clutching a stuffed dragon. "Mama? Wats you do? Whos youse?". The toddler spoke softly, as she made her way to Regina, lifting her arms up making the grabbing motion.

Regina smiled down towards the little girl, lifting her up to hold her. "It's okay sweet one, mama has you. It looks like you're ready for bed, hmm?". Emma instantly shook her head making her blonde curls move hiding her yawns behind the dragon now intrigued by the new person. "Whos youse?" She questioned again and arched her brow like her mother.

The taller woman chucked, "I didn't know you had a child Regina. I'm your mommy's friend. I'm Mal. What is your name small one?". Mal stood looking towards the pair, she did truly admire how cute they were together. Regina then interjected, "Obviously I did. This is my Emma, she's two". Emma let a look of relief take over her features as she clung to her mother's shirt and hiding behind her dragon. The toddler then laid her head down on her mother's chest, yawning once more. Regina chuckled softly kissing the girls head, "Alright little one. Lets get you upstairs to bed, and then mama will come back down to talk to her friend".  Mal nodded, moving out of the way as she was the brunette carry the pint-sized child up the stairs. Emma didn't put up a fight as she kept a fist full of her mother's shirt, and the dragon dangling by the ear. The little one was half asleep once they arrived upstairs, the brunette smiled down at her, " I love you so my sweet one". Emma felt herself being laid down, as she began to cry raising her arms back up, "wan mama". She had let go of the dragon, trying to cling to her mother. Regina sighed lowly, as she kept the toddler in her arms and moved to the rocking chair, "Shhh. I got you".

Regina had rocked the toddler to sleep, gently removing her fingers from her mouth, and replacing it with a pacifier, "Enjoy that now little one, because mama has plans for that soon". She placed a kiss onto the toddler's head, flipped on the night light of a galaxy, and left the door cracked. The brunette then smoothed her shirt out, going back downstairs to greet the taller blonde.

As the brunette was making her way down the stairs, she was met with a cleaned living room, and dishes being completed. Regina had arched a brow making her way to the kitchen. "Thank you dear, but you didn't have to do any of this. I would've gotten it once Emma was asleep". Mal shook her head, "It's nothing darling. I figured I would do something while we waited". Once the dishes were completed, Mal turned around towards the brunette with a grin. "Gina... Are we able to talk? I mean like talk... talk...".

Regina raised her head from looking at one of the papers Emma had colored. She moved towards the refrigerator to hang it, as she looked back towards the taller woman. The brunette nodded, "Of course we can Mal. We can move this into the living room, or the study. Do you have a preference?".  Mal chuckled softly, as she grabbed the brunette's hand. "How about the study? Just so there's no chances of waking up your little dragon". The pair made their way into the study, sitting on the couch facing one another.

Mal looked into the brown eyes in front of her with a grin, "I have missed you so much. I'm so sorry for how we left things.  I wanted to come back as soon as I got on the plane. I didn't want to leave things like...". Regina quickly stopped the blonde, "We both could have acted better that day Mal... We were 19 at the time. It's been a long time. We both had our reasons on walking away".

Mal laid her hand on top of Regina's, nodding her head with tears streaming down her face, looking into the brown eyes. Regina lifted her hand, wiping the woman's tears away with her thumb, and began laughing. "I'm sorry. I just never thought this would be happening. I think you'd adore Emma. She acts a lot like you too".  Mal shakes her head with a grin, "I see that she definitely has her mother's true attitude". The tall blonde pulled Regina closer to her with a grin "and I've got you my little queen".  Regina smirked at the nick name, as she laid her head on Mal listening to her heartbeat. She felt a soft kiss being placed on the top of her head as she smiled. "I've missed you so much". The brunettes eyes soon closed, as she fell asleep while laying on Mal. The blonde smiled, and lifted the brunette in her arms, carrying her upstairs to lay her in the bed. Mal then left a note on the fridge, "Call or text me darling. I'm sure I'll see you soon ;)".
