Chapter 2: Grand Reunion

Steve's POV

"Henderson? HENDERSON IS THAT YOU? I mean seriously, is that really you?" Eddie just stands up in joy with tears in his eyes.

Bro, not gonna lie... This is like a family reunion of a son and a mother but I'm just gonna seat.

Dustin approached him and almost opened the door "Hey, hey, hey don't... Don't."

"Why-" He's a genius, I know... He gets it quickly.

"Henderson, you... You've grown.... So much.,.." He smiled with his teary eyes and I sighed.

"I'm sorry Eddie..." Dustin replied with his shaky voice. "I can't imagine the things you've been through."

"Shhhh, it's okay... It's not your fault.." that's sweet, their relationship is really precious.

"Henderson.." I called him and Dustin quickly responded "What? I brought the cassette tapes that Eddie likes incase you know.... I know what we're dealing.... Or.. should I say... Who.."

"Good, that's good... i-" I massaged my forehead and glanced at Eddie. "He's been through a lot..."

"I know..." Dustin then gave Eddie the cassette tapes and the cassette player through the opening thingy on the door "Here, once you put it on, we can trust you.."

"Are you sure? I-... I've changed... I mean... A lot happened in those... What is it again? 3 years? 4?" Eddie asked and I sighed. "Five..."

"Wow.... It's been a long time.." he murmured then Dustin just sat down "Eddie, you have to put the earphones on."

"You still got my cassete tapes, huh?" He put on the earphones... And smiled a little. "You still haven't changed, Henderson."

"Now, he can't hear us.. right?" I asked to Dustin and he quickly stood up "Where did you found him?"

"In my workplace? Duh.." I replied and he worriedly looked at the window. "Do you think he has connections to the dissapearances that's happening in Hawkins?"

"There are missing people in Hawkin?? That's not new." I replied then he looked directly at my eyes. "Erica was one of them, Steve.."

"What?! What the fuck is happening in hawkins?" I asked hurriedly then he looked down. "That's what we are trying to figure out.."

"Eddie won't kill anyone... You know that.." I said to him and he glanced back at me "Vecna will, and he won't hesitate to use Eddie as a pawn.."

"Yeah you're right... But-" he interrupted me by saying "We need to get Eddie some medical help, we need to figure out how he appears HERE IN CALIFORNIA WHEN THE GATES ARE IN HAWKINS."

"Good point..." The door suddenly opened and my roommate appeared "yo, steve.. I've got some- whoa whoa who's this?" He pointed at Dustin.

"You know what, he's my son and just go to your room" I said then he just shrugged and went to his room.

"So what's the plan?" I asked to Dustin and he sighed. "the plan is I'm gonna go back to Hawkins... Try to fix something and keep Eddie safe. I'm afraid that if we brought him back to Hawkins... His connection to Vecna will get stronger."

"Just like Will told us that he can feel stronger presence of Vecna in Hawkins.?" I questioned to him and he nodded "Exactly.."

"Can I get any help? Because if something goes wrong here... I'm alone.." I asked then he looked at my roommate's room. "Well, you have your roommate."

"Can you atleast call them first? You know have a sight of what's happening before going into Hawkins??" He sighed and just walked to the door "They are not answering my calls, I have to go there..."

"Well do you have a companion? I'm not letting you go there alone, you're still a child!" I protested and he gave me that 'Look'

"First of all, I'm not a child anymore. Second of all, yes MUM, I'm going with suzie." Then he glanced at Eddie and their eyes met.

Dustin waved a little goodbye and Eddie kinda panicked. He get off the earphones and stood up "You're leaving, Henderson?"

"We'll meet again, don't worry and I'm gonna figure something out. Steve is a trustworthy guy, you know that. If you need anything... Let him know." Then he opened the door and left.

"Wait- you can't just-... Leave..." He closed the door and I watched him walk away.

I slightly bit my lip and murmured "This child just literally go and bought some milk."
