Kinkajou spent the next few days in confused thought.
First, she found out that Sky was this "so called hero" when he acted nothing like one! He was always sleeping or eating or looking at snails! How was he supposed to save the world from the biggest threat ever.
Then, she found a human who visited her in dreams! Undauntable had asked her to find the Dragon Communicator and bring her to him, then had said not to die! Did that mean some huge threat was in their way later? Was she going to die?
Finally, Wrens weird behavior. After Kinkajou had asked her if she knew Undauntable, she'd gone insane. Always twitching, acting as if the world would topple down on them, and was a lot more rude than usual Wren.
She looked back at the little human with worry. What do you know? Did you do something to his family? DID YOU YELL AT THEM? She was in total confusion at this concept. What did she know?
"Where are we going again?" Kinkajou asked. "We've been flying forever!" That was a bit of an exaggeration, but flying was hard when she missed suntime. When she missed it for months at a time! How do you deal with that?
I wonder what we'll even look for since we already have the dragon we need.
"We're going back to Pantala." Bumblebee said. "Since we already have the hero dragon." Kinkajou was surprised at her words. She already knew Sky was the dragon? HOW???
I know she's smart, but I didn't think she was that smart.
"We do?" Wren asked. She sounded just as surprised as Kinkajou. The question was if they had the dragon, what were they supposed to do with him? Sky had never even killed anything! Wouldn't he have to defeat Beauty?
Kinakjou explained her thoughts to them, even though they were spinning. Sky looked more horrified than anything else while Wren looked excited. "My dragon will get to destroy that menace! Let's go!"
Kinkajou frowned at her. That wasn't the idea I was looking for. Kinkajou thought for a minute and decided that they should stop where they were. The group unpacked and Kinkajou headed for the trees.
She wanted to find something out here. She didn't know exactly what, or if anything was even out here, but there had to be something eventually. Maybe Undauntable is out here or someone else useful.
She hated to admit over and over she needed the human, but she did! He could come into your mind and haunt you like an evil overlord would! He could be like, "Oooh! I'm in your mind Beauty so surrender!" and she'd be like "Aaah! Little humans are small and pesky and I should give up!"
If only the world was that simple. I could be done with adventure in a few days! I wonder how Moon and them finished their adventure so fast? Thinking of her friends made Kinkajou feel lonely. She was all alone and didn't know what to do? Did she just give up and get all mind wobbly?
"But I can't. There are hundreds upon thousands upon millions counting on me!" She decided on one thing she could try. It was crazy! Although, they were her only hope and she didn't know what else she could do. This was a last resort!
I'm going to find Knowledgeable!
Kinkajou slowly crept through the forest without a sound. She didn't want the others knowing what she was doing. This was a mission only she could do and one she didn't want them involved in.
I can't have them caught up in this. What if they were hurt. She remembered how annoyed she'd been when her friends had gone on part of their adventure without them, but now she knew why. She was, at the time, in a coma and didn't need to be in that kind of trouble. I hope I get to see them again. Unzombified.
She walked through the forest for what felt like hours. There was nothing but trees for miles and she was getting bored. Wasn't a great, all powerful dragon supposed to be obvious? It would be convenient. Maybe he's on Pantala? That's right! He was contacting me there! But, how do I get there without running into Beauty?
She didn't know what to do until someone familiar was again in her head. To get to me, you will need to follow the path. And before you ask your annoying questions, I am on Pyrrhia. Knowledgeable was on Pyrrhia! Why wasn't he talking to her earlier?
Fine, but your going to answer some of my questions.
Then, a rustling came from a nearby bush. She looked over to see nothing but green. No dragons, humans, or anything else. No nothing. "Who's there? You better not be working for beauty!" The last thing she remembered was a bright light in front of her.
Am I going to die?
Kinkajou found herself in a prison cell in the middle of pitch blackness. Rocks here, rocks there, and oooh! More rocks! Nothing useful, fun, or comforting for Kinkajou. Well, except for the fact she wasn't dead.
"I see you've made it to prison."
She spun around and shot a little bit of a kinda happy look. "So where are we Knowledgeable?" Surprisingly, he wasn't a big, glorious dragon as his sister. He was smaller than Kinkajou, had multiple scars, and looked quite pitiful.
"We're in Beauty's prison." Another voice said. "You should have stuck with my plan, goof. Now we're all in trouble." She knew from his angered tone he was Charming. He too looked wrecked and unhappy of his living space. "She's a psychopath though. Doesn't even listen to me anymore and instead locked me in here too."
"Are we the only ones locked up in here?" Kinkajou asked, curiously. She didn't know how long they'd been here or what had happened to them. She also wondered why Beauty had gone so mad. Surely seeing Charming again would have fixed things.
"So far." Knowledgeable muttered. "But soon more will be. The people here are the ones she doesn't have control over yet. Luckily, she can't get me or Charming because we're older. HA! Take that, bird brain!"
And how does that work?
She didn't bother with asking about that, but before she could get anything more, footsteps came from somewhere. Kinkajou saw as a shadowy figure came from out of knowhere. They had battle scars everywhere and the only relief about them was they weren't Beauty. Bad news was who they were.
"Glory!"
The Rainwing queen looked as blank as ever. Her scales were pure white and she wore an expression of hate on her face. She wasn't the Glory Kinkajou new but more her evil..... eviler twin.
If they got to her, who else? What is going to happen next?
