*Finney's POV*

Friday. Night of the party.

Robin has been acting different, more protective than usual.

Does he know something I don't? I hope not. We don't keep secrets from each other.. not what he knows. I've been keeping one secret.

If he would find out my life would be ruined, he'd hate me. He'd hate me forever.
My thoughts got interrupted by the teacher calling my name with almost a yelling tone.
I looked up and let out a 'huh?' In confusion. Certain classmates let out a laugh. I felt slight embarrassment wash over me but I quickly shrugged it off.
The teacher spoke up again,
"Do you know the answer to this question?" She tapped the white chalk against the board with a equation written on it, big and clearly.
I took a minute to think about it but I quickly slipped the answer out of my mouth.
"Very good" the teacher said and got back to adding new equations.

A couple minutes passed by and the bell rang loudly. I stumbled over my backpack and all my books and papers fell out. I sighed and bent down to pick them up.
I was about to pick up the last piece of paper but a shoe kept the paper pinned to the ground. I looked up and saw a familiar face looking down on me.

*Robins POV*

I walked down the hallway, taping up my fists, as usual. I was used to the feeling of my skin ripping opening from punching someone's sharp teeth. Sure it hurts for a minute or two but if I learned anything from growing up in a household like mine, you just have to suck it up and keep moving forward.

I realised the time were landing on the later hours of the day. Soon school would be over and the party could get started.

I tapped my pencil against my desk in sync with my finger to build up some sort of beat.
I looked up while bopping my head to the beat that somehow reminded me of a song I couldn't remember the name of.
I saw Finney sitting across the classroom.
He looked so peaceful writing down his notes and switching from page to page in his book.

He was perfect.

I have never felt this way for anyone before, why for Finney?
I looked away but my eyes immediately shot up at Finney again. I couldn't keep my eyes of him, no matter how hard I tried.
There was something seriously wrong with me.

*Finney's POV*

I was standing in front of the mirror, checking myself out. I hate the way I look. I always have.
I remember looking at myself a few years back with the same hateful taste in my mouth.
I shook my head, feeling annoyed of my thoughts. I slid on a pair of brown cargo pants and a dark blue grandpa sweater and made sure it covered my wrists.

No one can find out that I cut myself. They would all be so disappointed of me,
so mad at me.
Robin is the only one that knows. He found out by accident when he picked me up from the street when my bullies had beat me up.
I was when he took of my bloody shirt he saw my ugly, cut up wrists. I could almost sight tears filling his eyes but as the Robin he is, I sucked it up and ignored it.

I took a minute of my time and fixed my hair and putting any out sticking hair strands in place.

"You ready to go?" I jumped slightly at the sound of Gwen's voice filling the room.
"Uh yeah"___"you want me to walk you there?"___"No thanks, Robin's driving me"___"ooOooOo"
Gwen teased. "Shut up!" She giggled lightly and walked down the hallway, to her own room.
I looked up at the clock,

10:47 pm,

Robin would be here any minute now.

I didn't even get the time to think another thought about it til I heard a knock on the door.
I rushed to the front door before my dad could. He would probably say something racist on accident and get a punch from Robin.
2 people with anger issues meeting, they'd kill each other on the spot.
I opened the door and gave Robin a quick smile before sliding down in my blue converse.
I rushed outside, closed the door and took a deep breath.
"You alright?" Robin said with sympathy in his gase.
"Yeah- yeah." The truth is, I rushed outside with Robin before my dad got a chance to say anything.
