II.
Steve's last class let out for the day at three o'clock sharp, and he breathed out a sigh of relief knowing his first day was over and it had gone well. He hadn't had any more visits from Eddie, which secretly bummed him out, but he didn't let it bother him too much. They had the rest of the year to visit each other.
Steve packed up his things and shut the lights off to his classroom, closing the door behind him on his way out. He noticed the lights in Eddie's classroom were already off, and Steve kept a look out for him on his way out of the school.
He spotted Eddie speaking with another teacher before starting to walk to his car. He made eye contact with Steve very briefly and gave him a wink before digging his keys and cell phone out of his pocket. Steve quickly looked away and walked to his car, smiling ever so slightly.
As soon as he got home, Steve found Robin running around and cleaning their already clean apartment. "Rob, slow down, can I do something to help?"
"No, I basically did everything. I'm just making sure the house looks nice for her," Robin finished scrubbing the countertop with a paper towel and let out a sigh. "I don't want her to judge me based off how clean my house is, but you can't be too careful!"
Steve laughed and shook his head, hanging his keys up on the rack by the front door and setting his laptop in his room. He heard Robin let out a string of curse words as she dropped something, and he thought it would be best just to stay in his room to let her calm down and prepare for dinner.
Steve turned on a movie in his room to drown out the conversation of Robin and this friend she had coming over. He did eventually get hungry and order delivery from his favorite Chinese place, and quickly hurried out of his room to the front door to collect it. He hoped Robin wouldn't catch him.
"Steve, will you hurry up and get your food?" Robin teased as she saw Steve hurrying to the front door.
"Calm down, Robs, I'm going," Steve rolled his eyes as he opened the front door, collecting his food from the doorstep.
"Wait, Steve Harrington is your roommate?" Steve heard a familiar voice speak, and stopped in his tracks. The one and only Nancy Wheeler.
"Yeah, why? Do you guys know each other?" Robin had a genuinely confused look on her face as she glanced at both Nancy and Steve.
"We dated in high school," Steve said, a little too nonchalant about it. Robin looked a little shocked, and Steve immediately noticed. "We're fine now, it just didn't work out."
"Exactly. We haven't seen each other since graduation, so it's been a while," Nancy agreed with Steve, trying her best to reassure Robin that what they had was in the past for good.
"Last thing I would want is to make you uncomfortable, Nance," Robin glanced at her crush, seemingly not able to take her eyes off Nancy.
Steve took this as a chance to go back into his room and hide for the night. He'd already had the longest day, and seeing his high school ex-girlfriend at his home, practically on a date with his best friend, was not something he was prepared for.

"You never told me you dated Nancy!" Robin hit Steve lightly in the arm after Nancy had left for the night.
"You never told me that you guys were friends," Steve immediately came to his own defense, grabbing a glass from the cupboard and pouring water into it.
Robin rolled her eyes at him and finished up cleaning after her and Nancy's dinner. "Still, I had no idea you guys even knew of each other."
"Her and I literally graduated together, Rob. I'm pretty sure I talked about her and I's relationship when I first met you," Steve leaned against the counter, taking small sips from his glass. "Obviously, it didn't work out between us, so what's the big deal?"
