"This tequila is nasty, Steven," Robin made a face at the shot of tequila that the pair of best friends took together.
"That's what I get for buying a six dollar bottle of it," Steve shook his head as he set the shot glass down on the coffee table and pushed it away from him. "We should just drink something else."
"No, the nasty shit gets you drunk way faster," Robin was already pouring herself another shot of the cheap liquor, and Steve shook his head.
"Nancy must've really hurt you," Steve watched as Robin downed another shot with ease.
"She did. She basically lead me on, and she really had me thinking that she liked me," Robin sighed, setting the shot glass down. "Not like I can be super mad at her though, she's scared of coming out. I remember how terrified I was, and I can't blame her."
"Maybe give her some time, Robs, she might come around," Steve shrugged, watching as his best friend let out a laugh in disbelief.
"It's fine. I'm just going to give up on finding a girlfriend," Robin poured herself another shot, taking it with no trouble.
"Why don't we slow down on the alcohol," Steve reached for the shot glass in her hand, and Robin huffed.
"Getting drunk was your idea," Robin pointed out, and Steve nodded, admitting it.
"Yes, but I now realize it was a bad idea," he laughed, grabbing the bottle of tequila and getting up, taking it to the kitchen. "Why don't we just order takeout and watch a movie or something?"
"Okay fine, but I pick what we watch," Robin crossed her arms in disappointment. "And what we eat!"
"Deal," Steve shrugged, knowing he couldn't argue with her.
Robin was already scrolling through her delivery apps for dinner ideas. Steve took it upon himself to start looking for something to watch on television. Robin noticed and snatched the remote out of his hand.
"Not like I was using that," Steve glanced over at her, and she flipped him off.
"Fuck off."
Steve truly loved his best friend, she put him in his place and kept his life interesting. He really was grateful for his platonic soulmate.
A chime from his own phone pulled him out of his thoughts. A familiar name came up on his screen, and he grinned as he opened the message.
Eddie: hey, sweetheart. i promised you a playlist, so here it is. it's not finished yet but i hope you like it, pretty boy :)
Following the message was a Spotify link to a playlist titled 's.h.' Steve couldn't contain the stupid smile on his face, and Robin looked over at him, raising her eyebrows. She didn't say anything though. She wanted to let him enjoy the moment.
Steve: i was wondering when i was finally going to hear this infamous playlist, munson
Eddie: hey, i'm still trying to impress you. gotta make sure it's perfect ;)

Steve and Robin ended up watching their favorite show together, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. They had bonded over it when they first met, and now it was their comfort show to watch together. Robin seemed to feel a little better, no thanks to the three shots of tequila she took an hour before that. Steve glanced over at her, and shook his head as he saw that she was passed out. He put a blanket over her and turned the television off, heading to his room.
