HANS' POV

I woke up as I heard my alarm screaming loudly. My head hurts as I stare at my window covered with black curtain. I slept so late because of what happened yesterday! Some of the tenants are around at that time, AT THE LOBBY, while my body is clearly open for sightseeing. And, WHO IS TO BLAME?! THAT GIRL NEXT DOOR! ARGH!

That girl really tested my patience, in and out. Nothing left!

I sighed, frustrated and started to prepare myself for going to work when my doorbell rang. I quickly opened the door and it spat out, Anna, who was looking at me crossed arms.

"Argh, Why?!", I started irritably.

She smiled and put her hand on my shoulder. "Let's eat.", she offered.

I shake my head as I remove her hand off me, "I have my own food, cousin.", and about to close the door, when she suddenly stopped the door from closing.

"Ah-ah-ahh,", while shaking her head, "It's not an option. It's a command, cousin.". Then, pulled meout. She's so strong!

As we arrived in Ayne's unit, the siblings were already eating, quietly. Mat is wearing comfortable clothes while Ayne is wearing a gray polo shirt tucked in maong pants, just like what she wore yesterday. A sudden involuntary smirk drew in my face when I saw Ayne, dealing with her head. Trying to squeeze out her forehead due to pain as she forces herself to eat hot soup.

"Children! We have a visitor.", Anna happily shouted. The siblings turned their heads towards us. At the same time, Ayne looked at me confused, then slowly her face changed and stands up. Then, spitted her food right in front of me, looking so shocked.

"Now, she remembered.", Anna whispered as I sweep off the soup in my clothes.

"Did you just order me to eat with all of you just to make her remember?", I asked her, whispering.

She nodded and smiled, revealing her fully whitened teeth. "When she's totally drunk, she can't remember all of it. But once she sees a particular scene or familiar person, she'll remember."

I saw how Ayne let her eyes go down and shouted really loud! Anna is giggling at my side while Mat closed his ears. I looked at her more confused, unable to understand what's happening.

"Sister! Really shouting in the morning? Warming up your vocals? It's not like tha–", but before Mat continued his lengthy monologue conversation, Anna stopped him.

"What are you doing here?", she asked, stuttering and looking away.

"I offered him to eat with us. He had a hard time yesterday.", Anna's excuse, looking silly.

"Oh,", looking around but not to me, " Welcome.... welcome to my home.", and awkwardly left us standing. She brought her bag placed on the couch and quickly went out of the room. I was startled when Anna whacked my right arm so hard. This cousin of mine really gets on my nerves. She's been like this ever since we were young. Before, my house is just a few blocks away from her and she keeps on visiting us just to play together with my mother. Tea time. Doing arts. Why? Ask her! Because I don't know. All I know is she keeps everyone under her hand.

"Let's eat!", Anna shouted, happy.

I smiled forcely. "Next time, cousin, tell me what's going on. In full detail.", I whispered as I forced myself to smile.

After what happened, I sent my goodbyes and prepared myself to go to work. I have my class at 10 PM. I am teaching college students as my part time job as I stay here in this country for temporary.

The reason that I am here is to search for the answers. The answers that my younger self didn't allow me to hear, prevented by an older person near me, leaving me innocent with lies and discarded facts.

I didn't want to come back but my guilt and conscience questions my whole sanity because my mother is involved in this. The one who cared for me. Why should I exile myself out of her world when from the start I am part of her. Her blood. Her genetics. It's in me.

Before anything goes missing, I should take a sacrifice.

Because I know there's something behind my mother's death.
