ANNA'S POV

All the electricity in the building went out after entering Ayne's office floor together with Mat. Also, with an old friend who is now a police detective, Lucas Silverich and a few police officers. After Ayne's accident in highschool, we parted ways without realizing. But meeting him today seems so different from what he was as a class president in the past.

He told me the reason why they were here was because of the need to arrest Nardel Manindigan, who is working under Ynell Construction.

We all looked around to know what was happening. Then, the emergency lights started to light up.

"Shit!", Mat shouted. "This can't be.", then about to start running but I stopped him. Mat turned around with a serious face, "Something happened already.". Then, a large and loud thunder and lightning covered the whole city which made all of us startled. Mat and I looked at each other and gave distinct hints.

Something happened!

We ran to find them and I arrived at the garden terrace. I saw how my cousin looked so confused while being hands tied up together with a tape covering his mouth but at the same time he is beside Ayne, trying to wake her up. I am the first one to arrive at the scene and was taken aback. I saw the two men's eyes were white as paper, slowly turning back to normal.

I saw Mat quickly closed the two men's eyes then looked at me, giving me a sign to keep quiet. Then, he went to Ayne, waking her up.

The group of Lucas came. They helped Hans from being tied up while the other one checked the pulses of the two men.

"Have a pulse, sir.",one of the police said to Lucas.

Meanwhile, after several tries of waking up Ayne, no response from her was heard. Mat decided to carry her sister through his back and walked away together with Hans. I followed them and we left Lucas and his group behind.

At Alter Hospital,

It's been hours since the incident happened. We are now in the VIP room, waiting for Ayne to wake up. According to Uncle, she just lost her energy, that's why she lost consciousness. The two men are now in the custody of Lucas' group, but there's one thing that everyone questioned, the two men can't remember what happened within that time.

There's something. Something happened within that loud thunder and rain. In order to confirm these thoughts, Ayne should wake up because Mat is not saying anything.

"Mat, you know that everybody is now confused.", I whispered.

"Most especially me. I don't know. I was with you when this incident happened.", he answered, avoiding my point.

"So, how come the two guys with them can't remember?".

He looked at me, raising both of his shoulders indicating that he doesn't have any idea about it. "But there is one thing for sure, my sister's ability is something else.", he smiled. I know I'm invading the family's privacy but I also need to know, for I know how to act upon. I decided to give up asking him.

"Where's your father?", I asked, changing the conversation.

"He already took the earliest flight. He might come in the evening.".

"He already know?"

He nodded. "Obviously. Knowing that this came out in the news–", he suddenly stopped talking and faced me. "What should we do?".

"Your dad has the power. Don't worry.".

He sighed. "That's what my sister hates. Getting help from dad."
