The Hunted [Book Two]

Chapter 2

Jordan, me, Chris, and Olive all reappeared in the forest somewhere, Jordan's legs gave out, but he caught himself before hitting the floor.

"Jordan you okay?" I asked.

"Yea I just never vanished so far away before." he said.

"Where are we?" Olive asked. me and Chris shrugged.

"Jordan what were you thinking about when you dissipated?" I asked.

"Nothing." he simply replied.

"Oh that makes sense why we are in the middle of nowhere." I replied sarcastic. Jordan looked at me pissed after that. 

"We have to go further south." Olive said confident, 

"And why would we do that?" Jordan asked.

"Because the closest forest from where you could have dissipated is about 10 miles from Mack's whole operation or 17600 yards and the nearest town or city is , eh about 100 yards away or 1 football field." Olive said, 

"And you just know all of this." Jordan asked,

"Well no I was reading a piece of paper on Mack's desk I only had about a minute or 2 to be able to read the whole thing, it was a map of the surrounding town." Olive explained.

"Okay so where is south?" I asked.

"That way I think." Olive said pointing behind us.

"And how could you be so sure?" Chris asked.

"Good god Chris, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west." Olive exclaimed.

"Good enough for me, Lets go." Jordan said. then we all started heading south.

After a bit Olive saw something up ahead and she started running towards it.

"See what did I tell you?" She exclaimed proudly, sure enough there was a little town sitting right there,

"I will never question you again." I told her, Chris pat Olive on the back, we started walking towards the town, while we were getting closer it looked bigger than it appeared from far away. Walking through the town no one seemed to notice us so we walked farther and farther into the town, soon though we were lost. I saw 2 girls about my age so I went up to ask them for directions,

"Umm excuse me?" I said

"Uh who are you" one of them said.

"Can you tell me directions?" I asked.

"No, go away weirdo." the other one said. I rolled my eyes and gave up,

"How'd it go?" Chris asked. 

"What do you think?" I retorted. Chris blushed a little, 

"Okay I have an idea," I suggested.

"What?" Jordan asked.

"We split up whoever finds directions first wins." I said

"Sure why not? I mean it's not like we have to do anything else." Olive agreed.

"No, don't forget, Mack will be looking for us." Jordan said reassuringly.

"Oh c'mon Jordan let up a little, might as while have a little fun right?" I teased. He glared at me.

"Fine but don't come crying to me." he finally agreed. I smiled but he just rolled his eyes, I went into the forest again wanting to find some sign of some sort to tell me what town we were in, after a bit I was slowly walking further away for everyone else and soon I didn't even know what part of town I was in anymore.
