I woke up and for once I felt fine, not scared at what Mack might have me do, not pressured to do anything, the only problem was no one was here, Olive was no longer laying next to me, I sat up fast, worried that something happened. I then stood up maybe worried that there would be bodies somewhere on the floor, Nothing. I thought a mad thought and my fire came I walked around pushing things out of my way as I went along, soon there after I had searched the entire room, only one place left. I slowly approached the entrance to the refuge, I took a deep breath and stepped outside, I looked around and found nothing.
"BOO!!" someone yells from behind me, I jump and spin around, Olive is standing there beaming, in an instant I call of my fire and try to calm myself down, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY." she exclaims again, I think she could tell I didn't know what she was talking about, and she raised an eyebrow.
"Today's not my birthday?" I explained confused, Olive laughed and shook her head,
"You don't know when your birthday is?" she asked, I shrugged.
"Well happy birthday to me I guess." I sighed. Olive frowned.
"People are usually happy when its their birthday," she frowned.
"Well I have never had a real birthday" I tell her, her eyes widen,
"YOU HAVE NEVER HAD A REAL BIRTHDAY?" she exclaimed, I covered my ears, "sorry" she says apologetic, I shrug again.
"I mean does it matter?" I ask. She shakes her head.
"You know what never mind just drop it," Olive sighs. she starts walking away when I grab her wrist, she looks startled.
"Sorry" I say letting go of her hand, Olive smiles and shrugs it off.
"Nah your good." she replies back, before she goes I have one more quick question,
"Hey Olive wheres Jordan and Chris?" I ask.
"Right behind you." Jordan says, appearing from behind, making me jump, I fight the urge to punching him in the gut or something, instead I cross my arms across my chest and look away still to tired to yell at him or something. "Anyways, we have a problem." Jordan continues.
"What problem?" Olive asked.
"Callie can only use close range, she needs to learn to have close ad far range." Jordan explains,
"Well it's not my fault," I say, "Your just a bad teacher." To this he puts a hand to his chest as if to say who me? No. I would never. I just roll my eyes.
"OH OH I wanna teach you!!" Olive exclaims,
"You?" I question, Jordan looks at me probably thinking the same exact thing,
"Yea, I learned a bit after you burn't down that hospital when you were a baby." Olive says while appearing to think back at the memory. I look down at the floor,
"I say we give it a shot." Jordan agrees, it sounds more like a question though.
"Fine." I say giving in.
