The brown wooden doors to Station Square bank burst open with a forceful BANG! From it pours two masked individuals, each carrying large bags that both contain a ticket to four easy years of relaxation. An ambitious score for sure, but one that is now in the crooks' sweaty, anxious hands. Down the small concrete steps is a blue van where Miley is positioned, waiting to pull off and lose the cops as she always does.

Dan, the overweight robber right of his partner: Willy, understandably was hesitant to pull off such a risky job. Ever since the abrupt, yet, impactful founding of GUN, this once tranquil city has never stopped looking like a military base. Unfortunately, for people like he and his partners, the unstoppable military force doesn't have any badniks to fight. No, instead, all of their efforts now go into policing the people they took an oath to protect. Now you can't do so much as litter without a nearby GUN agent handing you a fee.

But this is going to be different. Four weeks of reconnaissance has done the small-time group of thugs much good. Drone paths, shifts, alarms, building layout, they knew it all. And stopping the bank tellers from hitting the silent alarm has bought the pair even more time. Once the Gun Hunters are deployed, it'll already be too late. Thanks to Miley's seamless driving, they'll be long gone with their bag of riches before GUN even has a chance to react accordingly. In just a few easy steps they'll be home free alright.

In a gust of wind, Dan is no longer holding his bag of money. And neither is his partner, Willy. No, the both of them aren't holding anything anymore. Instead, something is holding them together. A silver pair of handcuffs. The uncomfortably tight restraints are cuffed to Dan's right arm and Willy's left.

Not only that, but Willy's ankle is tied to a nearby bike rack with what looks like a green jump rope. A wave of confusion strikes Dan like a devastating punch to the gut. What is happening? He thinks frantically as his new bizarre reality gradually sets in. Everything was going as planned. But in a single rush of air, they are doomed.

Then, with just a single head turn, Dan's questions are answered immediately. Miley wasn't exempt from captivity either. Her hands are tied behind her back by something Dan can't see at the moment. But that's not his concern. No, what has his full attention is the sloppily written message on Miley's van undoubtedly written with a Sharpie. His jaw drops at first but he reads the writing carefully. It reads:

Crime never pays, bozos!
-Sonic

The robber's eyes process the message over and over in his mind until uncontrollable anger begins brewing within him. Evidently, the hedgehog is back in town. The alleged "war hero." Dan sometimes wishes the Metal War would have ended differently. Sometimes, he prefers the dystopian nightmare Eggman fought tooth and nail for if it meant that blue menace's life. Besides, dirty creatures like him don't deserve to live someplace civilized. As Dan goes on his mental rant, the sound of sirens grows louder.

Curse that hedgehog.
