💭DONTRELL POV.
"No, no, hold my hands", Brittney said as we rolled skate.
I grab onto her hand and she grabs onto my arm.
"Just move your forward and let it glide.", I said.
"How about you do that while I just hold on and roll?", she said.
I chuckled. I liked how she held onto me anyway.
I could feel Brittney feeling on my arm. She even looked at it for a quick second.
"Is my arm okay?", I asked.
"Yea. It's just...I didn't realize how muscular you were", she said.
I flex my arm.
"Don't show out now", said Brittney.
I chuckle.
"I like this...I haven't really had any fun in a good while now. Even when Carter is in his good mood and we do something...I can never enjoy too much because I still have to be on my toes", said Brittney.
I look at her.
"I just wish that he was more like you instead", said Brittney. "Or maybe I was..with you instead."
I didn't know what to say. But I did know that neither one of those was likely. He'd never be me and she'd never leave him.
"All this skating has got me hungry", said Brittney. "...I'd love to try those loaded nachos you cooked the other day."
"Oh you tryna go to my place?", I asked as I skated us to the side and out of the way. "You sure about that?"
"...why not? I told you I wanna have fun today and deal with the consequences later. Besides...", said she before she takes a piece of lint out of my hair. "What better way to have a fun day if I'm not spending it with you?"
"Now if I let you come in, I might not let you leave", I said as I touch your waist.
"Maybe I won't want to anyway", she said as she bit her lip.
The way she was looking at me seemed like she wanted to do more than just eat but maybe I was just reading her energy wrong.
"Come on", she said as she grabbed my hand and started skating.
"I thought you said you couldn't skate", I said as I skated with her.
"Oldest trick in the book", said Brittney. "You gotta try it sometime."
"Wow", I said with a smile.

Once we get to my house, I bring the ingredients for the nachos in as Brittney follows me in
"Welcome to my casa", I said.
"Nicer than I expected. I'm surprised you even have things on the wall", said Brittney.
"Yea. I don't like to be in a plain space", I said. "I'm going to start on the beef."
Brittney begins taking off her jacket. "I'll help", said Brittney.
Brittney follows me into the kitchen. I begin to wash my hands. Brittney leans on the counter and looks at me.
"We can get started on the beef or... we could get started on something else that wasn't finished.", said Brittney.
"Britt, I think we should stick to cooking. I don't... I don't think you know what you want. I think that you're in a vulnerable space right now and I don't wanna take advantage of you", I said.
