I wake up before Keira, that's a first. I lay in my bed, thinking about last night, blood rushing through my body. God, I can't believe this happened. I've never had a kiss bring up so many emotions. I can't stop thinking about her body against mine, her little moans that slipped her mouth. I wonder what Leah is thinking right now. I do have some concerns because she told me, right before the kiss, she wasn't sure if she was ready. Should I have been more considerate towards her? How is she going to react if she sees me? How am I going to react? God. I just hope no one will notice something happened between us, I don't want people to think I'm pulling in favours with the captain or I'm getting special treatment. Not sure if acting on my feelings last night was the best thing to do, although the kiss was really great and at the moment it felt right. Maybe I should stop overthinking. I get my phone to see what time it is, shit I have text messages from Lauren.

I totally forgot, Lauren and I had plans to go for a morning run before breakfast. I quickly change and hurry my way to her.
"Morning Lauren! So sorry I'm late."
"It's ok mate, let's go." Lauren gives me a smile. She is such a kind person, the one you want to protect from all the evil in the world. We run in the area of St. George's park, make our way around the pounds, morning sun breaking through, it's a bit cold but I don't mind, I kinda like the morning breeze touching my skin. We chat about her relationship for a while, how she met her girlfriend and how things are going. It's a nice distraction from my own thoughts.
"So, Dani, is there anyone of the squad you fancy?"
She has seen me jump away from Leah the other night but that shouldn't be enough to ask this question. Does she know something? Or suspects something?
"Why would you ask me that?" I start laughing, making it seem like she asks a ridiculous question.
"Curiosity. So? Do you?" She is very persisted
"I haven't thought about it, so I guess not."
"What's your type?"
"My type? Pff. I don't really have a type. There has to be something about a person that attracts me, can be different every time. It's more the way someone makes you feel I guess." I act as casual as possible.
"At the end looks don't matter, it's all about the love you feel and how someone is treating you." Lauren knows what she is talking about.
"Exactly. Why are you so interested in my type all of a sudden? Is there something I should know?" I give her a cheeky smile. Of course, I know Lauren isn't interested in me or anything like that.
Lauren starts laughing. "I know how this might look, I was just making conversation."
We run back to camp. I see Sarina standing at the entrance. "Good morning girls."
"Morning coach!"
"Dani, I would like to see you after breakfast."
"Sure, I'll come see you when I'm done."
Sarina nods. Lauren and I walk inside. I'm getting a little nervous, why does Sarina want to talk to me? Maybe she did notice something at the team-building sessions? Maybe I should ask Leah before I go and talk to Sarina, maybe she knows what's going on.

I'm eating my smoothie bowl while I sit with Lauren and Fran. I've already scanned the room for Leah, she isn't here. Somehow, I feel nervous for the possibility of seeing her, I really hope she is doing okay. I hear familiar laughter coming from behind me, I look over my shoulder and I see Leah and Keira walking into the dining room, laughing together. I can't help but smile when I see her. Leah is scanning the room, she stops as soon as our eyes meet. She gives me a smile and whispers good morning. I nod. I'm glad I've seen her and everything seems fine. I finish my breakfast and walk over to the table where Keira and Leah sit. I don't want to be too obvious so I focus my eyes on Keira.
"Good morning Roomie, Captain."
"Good morning Dani." They say at the same time. They both laugh.
"You both woke up in a good mood."
"Not thanks to you. You talked my ears off last night." Keira looks at me as she laughs.
"What do you mean?" I don't understand.
"You kept talking in your sleep."
Why does this happen every time? Damn.
Keira turns to Leah. "Not sure what you did to her but she couldn't stop mumbling about it, all I could understand was your name."
"Fuck off Keira." Leah laughs, nervously, as she pushed Keira on the arm.
"I'm serious. She really did." Keira says to defend herself.
"Sorry I kept you up."
"You didn't keep me up, I'm a steady sleeper, I just overheard when I woke up to go to the bathroom. I am curious though, what did you do last night?" Keira is being nosy again.
"I didn't come to your table to be interrogated. I came to speak to the captain." I say playfully, sticking out my tongue towards Keira. She laughs at me as she gets up from her seat. "Fair enough. I'm going to get some tea, any of you want something?"
Leah and I both decline.
"So, you came to talk to the captain?" Leah is looking into my eyes. I get a flashback from last night, her body pressing against mine, her lips on my lips, our tongues intertwined. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. This can't happen every time I look at her. I open my eyes, she is still looking at me.
"Yes. Sarina asked me to meet her after breakfast. You've got any idea why? I mean, I'm a little scared she might picked something up between us? Has she said anything to you?"
She grabs my hand, holding it tight. "Don't worry." She squeezes my hand. I feel an electric shock moving through my body. We both pull our hands back, she felt the shock too. Her eyes looking down at her hand, like she is looking for any evidence of the shock that just happened.
"Well, I guess I'll have to wait and see, thanks for calming my nerves." I give Leah a smile as I walk away.
