27. Spending the morning together

I open my eyes and I see Leah's back, my body lying close against her, god this must be the best way of waking up. I take a few seconds to capture this moment in my head, making it a memory. I quietly get out of the bed, I don't want to wake her. I write her a note, just in case she does wake up.
'Don't move, I'll be right back. X Dani.'
I grab a T-shirt and some sweatpants and walk downstairs.
"Good morning." My dad says with a smile on his face. Somehow I feel busted.
"Hi dad, you're up early."
"Did you girls have fun last night?"
"Yeah, it was really great." I give him a smile.
"You going somewhere?"
"Yeah I wanted to walk to the bakery to get some of those lovely croissants and chocolate rolls."
"Sounds like a good idea."
I nod my head. "Can I get you some too?"
"No kiddo, I already had breakfast."
I walk out the door, luckily it's just a 5 min walk to the bakery, I get some oranges as well so I can make some freshly squeezed orange juice. I've been away for like 15 minutes so I hope she is still asleep. I quickly make some orange juice and put it together with the croissants and chocolate rolls on a serving tray. My dad is just watching me do all this with a smile on his face, I bet he knows there is something going on between Leah and me. I smile back at him as I pass by to walk upstairs. I open the door and Leah turns around.
"Hey you." She says with a sleepy voice.
"Hi there, did I wake you?"
"Yeah but that's okay baby, I want to spend as much time as possible with you today."
She just woke up and she is already being charming.
"I got you some breakfast." I say while I put the tray on my desk so I can give her a T-shirt to wear.
"It smells amazing." She tries to look what's on the tray while putting on the T-shirt.
I walk over to her and tell her to sit straight, she does what I say and I put the tray on her lap.
"Wow, this looks great!" She looks at me with a smile on her face. "Breakfast in bed, you're the sweetest."
"This is the least I could do. How did you sleep?"
"Amazing." She says as she takes a bite of her croissant. "God, this is delicious."
"It's the best in town." I say as I grab some for myself too.
"I'm not really a foodie but this is really good."
I start to laugh. "Yeah, I know that you like things plain."
She starts to laugh too. "I can be really boring."
"I can say a lot of things about you but boring isn't one of them."
She gives me a smile and looks into my eyes. "Last night was amazing."
"Yes, it was. It was...." I stop talking and exhale deep.
"Exactly." She says. I smile at her and bite my lip. She puts a string of hair behind her ear and gets a shy smile on her face. I clear my throat and stare at her.
"You are so beautiful."
I can see her cheeks blushing. She shakes her head and looks me into my eyes.
"This connection between us is unreal."
I nod my head. I'm unable to speak, it feels like she has me hypnotized. I look away to snap out of it.
"I've never felt anything like this before. It's hard to put into words."
I grab her hand and squeeze it. "I'm real happy you took the time to come and see me, to take me on that amazing date and the way you made me feel last night."
"It was my pleasure, I wish I could stay longer though. Time goes by way too fast." She sighs.
"It does. Luckily we get to see each other again at camp in 2 weeks."
She nods. "I know. It's not the same though."
"I know. But it's better than not seeing you or talking to you at all."
"I agree on that. I love how you always try to see things in a positive way."

We finish our breakfast and Leah is freshen up in the bathroom. I look around my bedroom and see pieces of Leah's clothing everywhere, which is making me giggle.
"What's so funny?" Leah says while entering the room.
"You haven't even been here 24 hours and you already made my room a mess."
She looks around and gets a guilty smile on her face. "Sorry."
"That's okay babe, you already told me you could be messy."
"I did, and you still kissed me so that's a win-win for me."
She walks over to me and hugs me. We both exhale deeply while holding each other.
"This is one of the best feelings in the world." I whisper in her ear.
"I'm gonna miss you Dani." She says.
"I know baby, I'm gonna miss you too."
We just stand there for a while, holding each other without saying anything and letting our feelings rush through our bodies. She makes me feel so damn much, I can't even believe it. I take a step back and look at her. "What time do you want to be at the airport?"
She takes a deep breath. "Viv said to be there around 1pm, so the three of us could get some coffee together before we have to check in."
"Okay." I smile at her.
"Is it?"
"Of course it is babe." I don't want to tell her that I'm already finding it hard to say goodbye in the car, let alone at the check-in desk.
"Good, like I said, the more time I get to spend with you, the better."
"I couldn't agree more." I smile at her and I check my watch. "Why does time pass so damn fast?"
Leah looks at her phone to see the time. "What? How is this possible? This means we have to leave in half an hour already."
I nod. "Let's get your things."
She gives me an extra sad look on purpose, making me laugh, she can be a real cutie.
We pack her bag and still have more than 20 minutes left.
"Did you ever had a 20 min kiss?" She looks at me with a smirk.
"No, I can't say I have."
"You interested in a 20 minute kiss?" She says while looking at me from head to toe.
"Definitely." I grab her hands and pull her to the bed where I let my body fall down on the mattress while pulling her on top of me. She is laughing at my move. She looks me deep into my eyes before she presses her lips against mine, soft and gentle. My breathing changes immediately, blood is rushing through my veins. Her kisses do so much to me. I put my hand in her hair while I part my lips, making space for her tongue to join mine. She softly and slowly presses her tongue against mine, this is a kiss filled with feelings of love. No lust or passion, this feels like pure love. The way she softly uses her tongue and at the same time she puts pressure on it, it's incredible. I completely get lost in the moment, in this kiss. God, this feels so good. All of a sudden I hear this loud sound in my ear, what is that? I almost got an heart-attack. Leah looks at me and starts laughing.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you but I set an alarm, just to be sure."
"It's a good thing you did, I completely lost track of time." I admit to her.
"It sure was." She looks at my eyes to my mouth and back to my eyes while she bites her lip.
I look back into her eyes. My heart skips a beat because of her intense, loving stare.
"Ok, we should really get going."
"You are right." She says as she gets off of me and grabs her bag. "Is your dad still here?"
"I don't think so."
"Will you tell him goodbye for me please? And thank him for his hospitality?"
I smile at her. "I will babe, don't worry."

We arrive at the airport. I open my car door to get out when Leah grabs my arm.
"Wait."
I stop moving and turn to her.
"I can't leave without another kiss." She says.
Without saying anything I put my hand on her cheek and pull her in for a kiss.
"Mmm" She whispers when I pull back, making me smile.
We both get out and walk to the coffeeshop, Viv isn't here yet. We take a seat and order something to drink. Leah is looking at me with a certain look in her eyes.
"Explain what you're thinking right now, you have this look in your eyes and I would love to know what it means."
She gives me her typical laugh. "Have you seen this look before?"
"Yes."
"You know what it means." She says with a smile.
"What, what means?" Viv says while getting to our table. Shit. I'm so bad at these kind of things. I hope Leah knows what to say because I'm going to ramble and that will probably lead to Viv figuring out what's going on between us.
"Heya mate! How was your time with your parents?" Leah just ignores Viv's question, quite smart I must say.
"It was great, way too short though. Did you two have fun?"
"Yeah, we had a lovely time." Leah says with a smile. I just sit there, drinking my coffee and nodding, feeling a little awkward.
We chat for a bit before it's time for them to check-in. Here we go. I take a deep breath while we start walking. Leah holds my hand. "It's okay. Just 2 weeks, keep that in mind."
I smile at her. "I know baby."
They have checked in and need to go through security, this is it. Viv walks up to me and gives me a tight hug. "You better choose the WSL if the offer comes."
I smile at her. Leah must have told her what is going on. "Hope to see you again soon."
Viv steps back and makes place for Leah. She walks towards me and holds me.
"I can't wait for the moment I get to kiss you again." She whispers in my ear.
God, I'm so in love with her. "Me too. I'll be counting the days." I whisper back at her.
We both step back at the same time and give each other a smile.
"Have a safe flight!" I say as I walk away and wave at them. They both wave back and Leah gives me a slow wink. I will definitely remember the sight of her standing there, giving me that sexy slow wink.

I get back to my car and drive home. I instantly feel like something is missing from me, like a piece somewhere deep inside of me. I realise that she is someone who understands me in a way that nobody else does. She can look into my eyes and know exactly what I'm about to say. To have someone understand your mind is a different kind of intimacy. Something I haven't experienced like this before. I take a deep breath. I have to figure out how I'm going to act normal being around her at camp and on the pitch, can't have people finding out about us yet. I arrive home. I decide to send Leah a text.
'Thanks again for this amazing date, it sure is something I will never forget. Let me know when you get home safe okay? Miss you already.. X'
'I miss you too, I'll text you when I'm home. X'
