11. Recovery day

I stare into the ceiling. I can't deny it any longer, I'm really into her. How am I going to deal with this? Can I stop myself from falling even harder? Is that even possible? Damnit. I let out a deep sigh.
"You still awake?" Leah whispers.
Maybe I should pretend I'm sleeping.
"Yeah."
"I figured you wouldn't be able to sleep."
"I feel so restless. Adrenaline is pumping through my veins."
"I know." She says while turning on the bedside lamp. Soft light appears on our faces. I turn my head to the left so I can see her. God, she is gorgeous.
"How do I stop it?"
She looks into my eyes. "Maybe you should let go of some of the tension you are feeling."
"How do I do that?" I say as I let a moan escape my mouth, well I can't deny what I was thinking, that's for sure.
She clears her throat and breaks eye contact. She puts her hands on her face, letting out a soft scream. "For fuck's sake, Dani."
"What? What did I do?"
She turns her face back towards mine. Locking our eyes again.
"It's about what we can't do. Your not the only one feeling this, almost uncontrollable, tension."
I bite my lip as I look deep into her eyes.
"Stop undressing me with your eyes." Leah whispers.
"I can't." I feel blood rushing through my body.
She exhales deep. "Fuck Dani. I want to feel all of your body."
"No. You can't. You have to stay where you are and I need to stay where I am. We can't do this. I want too, don't get me wrong, I just don't want you to regret in the morning, respecting you is more important to me then fucking you."
"Fucking me. Fuck. That sounds great coming from you."
"Leah... don't."
"Sorry. You are right. I don't know what's gotten into me."
We just stare in each other's eyes. Our breathing starts to sync, getting faster by the second. She turns me on so much. All I can think about is my fingers touching every inch of her.
"You've got no idea what you do to my body." I whisper.
"If it's even close to what you are doing to mine, I bet you are soaking wet right now."
"Fuck, Leah. Are you?" I whisper.
She puts her right hand underneath her head, using it as a pillow while she is still looking straight into my eyes. Her left hand touching her mouth, her fingers moving over her t-shirt, moving down her body, from her neck to her breasts, crossing her belly, going under the blanket.
"Let me see..." She says while I can hear her lifting her underwear. I see a change in her eyes when she touches herself.
"Oh yeah, definitely wet."
"Oh my god Leah. This is so fucking sexy."
She is so wet that I can hear she is moving her fingers around.
"You hear that?"
"Fuck yes I do."
A smile appears on her face. She loves to tease me.
I take off my shirt, revealing my naked breasts and hard nipples. I can see her eyes looking at my body.
"My eyes are up here you know."
She smiles at me as she takes off her underwear. She lets it drop on the floor. Now she is lying in just an oversized T-shirt. She throws off the duvet, forcing me to look at her while knowing that her naked body is just covered in a single t-shirt.
"What you give is what you get." She has a cheeky smile on her face.
She is moving her hand down, touching her inner thighs. She locks her eyes with mine.
"Touch yourself for me." She whispers. Damn, These words go straight down my sweet spot.
I move my hand down, lift my underwear waistband and let my hand slip down. Fuck, I don't think I've ever been this wet.
"Fuck Dani, I can hear you are so wet."
"Hmhm." I lick my lips.
She lets out a moan. "Don't lose eye contact with me, okay?"
I nod while I bite my lip. My heart is racing.
She puts her knees up, her hand moving down, going under her t-shirt. Moving to her most sensitive part. She moans as she touches herself.
My fingers are moving with more pressure. "Fuck Leah, this feels so good."
Her breathing goes faster and faster.
My body is moving to the rhythm of my fingers. Still looking her into her eyes.
I can see her pupils dilating. She blinks her eyes more often, her mouth slightly open, exhaling more and more. "Oh fuck Dani. I want to feel you so bad right now."
I can't control my breathing anymore. Moans start to escape my mouth.
Her back is arching. She is so close. Our eyes are still locked.
"Come for me baby." I whisper.
"Oh yeah, I am, I am coming for you Dani, oh yeah, ohhhhh."
"Oh fuck Leah, I'm coming too." I moan.
Her words make me come as well, my body moving uncontrollably, letting out all the tension I've felt. We both lay there, panting, still looking into each other's eyes.
"Fuck." She says with a smile on her face.
"You can say that." I smile back at her.
"What was that?" She asks a little insecure.
"Us, fucking without touching."
"I think that's a pretty accurate description." She starts to laugh.
"Are you okay?" I whisper
"I am. Are you? How is your tension?"
"I'm good. Tension? What tension?" I give her a wink.
She smiles at me. "Good."
We lay there, just looking at each other.
"Your body is beautiful."
"No, Leah please, don't go there again."
"I can't give you a compliment?" She says with a cheeky smile on her face.
"Not with that look in your eyes, no."
"I can't help it."
"You make the tension build up again."
"I know. I feel it too."
I break eye contact. I need a minute to catch my breath. I grab my t-shirt and put it back on.
I let myself fall down into the bed.
She takes a deep breath. "I have never done anything like this before."
"Me neither." We both start to laugh.
"I wish I could cuddle with you right now."
I look at her. "Me too. But, we can't."
"I know."
"I think it's best we try and go to sleep now." I tell her.
"I agree, I'm going to turn around and pretend I'm holding you. Wake me up when your awake?"
I give her a smile. "I will, sleep well."
"You too." She turns the lights off and turns around.
I imagine her holding me close, with this in mind I fall into a deep sleep.

I wake up to the sound of my alarm, it's been a while since I've slept until my alarm.
I look to the side and see Leah is already awake. She is sitting straight up in her bed, phone in her hand. I think she is playing sudoku or something.
"Morning." I say with a sleepy voice.
She looks my way. "Good morning. How did you sleep?" She gives me a soft smile.
"Surprisingly good. You?"
"Good mate, thanks."
Something feels different. She feels more distance, I'm scared to ask her if she is doing okay, scared of the answer I might get. Fuck. What do I do. I look at her.
"You feel more distance." I say while trying to figure out what is going on inside her head.
"I know."
"Its okay. It's okay if you wander off for a bit to get your emotions straight."
She looks up at me. I see something in her eyes, can't figure out what it is.
"Just don't wander off to far ok? And Leah, please come back.."
She smiles at me and at the same time it looks like her eyes are getting watery.
Maybe i should give her some alone.
"I'm going to take a shower. You want to go to breakfast together?"
She nods. I get up from my bed and walk towards the bathroom. I feel her hand grabbing my arm. She pulls me back, making me fall into her arms. We hold each other tight.
"You are special to me Dani, never forget that." She whispers in my ear.
I tighten my grip. I wish I could hold her like this forever. Damnit. Why does this feels so right?
I take a step back and give her a smile before I enter the bathroom and closing the door behind me. I take a deep breath. What am I getting myself into? Why does she has such a hold on me? How will I react if she really distance herself from me? I feel like I'm going to get hurt.
I turn on the shower and try to wash away my thoughts. Relax Dani, don't let this consume you.
Remember, football comes first. Period. I get out of the shower and get ready.

Leah is freshen up in the bathroom as I hear knock on the door. I walk towards the door and open it. It's Keira.
"Yeah, I figured I'd knock, just to be sure."
"Ha Ha, very funny."
Keira obviously finds her own joke funny since she is laughing out loud.
"Where's Leah?"
"She is almost ready. Come on in."
"Where did you leave Georgia?"
"She is on her way here."
Leah comes out of the bathroom.
"Good morning mate, how are you?"
"Hungry, hurry up." Keira is just being Keira.
"I'm good to go."
We meet Georgia at the door.
"Morning mates. How are we all feeling? Still buzzing?"
We agree with her as we walk into the dining room.
"I'm going to my own seat, see you later." I give them all a smile.
Leah didn't look at me. It feels like she is avoiding me already.

I walk over to my table.
"Good morning mate."
"Morning Dani! How did you sleep?"
"Had some trouble falling asleep but I've slept great."
"I'm glad." Lauren gives me a smile.
We are eating our breakfast. I'm not saying much.
"You are quiet this morning Dani."
"Still processing yesterday."
Lauren gives me a smile. I can see she isn't buying my answer.
"I don't know what's going on Dani, just know you can talk to me if you need to."
"You are a sweetheart, I'm fine, really."
We finish our breakfast and walk to the gym.
Training doesn't start until 10 so Lauren and I stretch together for a bit. The room starts to fill with the girls. Everyone is feeling good after last nights win.
Today we are going to jog around the pitch, at low pace. I run with Lauren beside me. Not saying much. Leah is running on her own, totally focused on her training. We jog around the pitch a total of 3 times. After that we get some stretching exercises. The rest of the day we can spend however we want. Georgia and I are switching rooms again so I go over to her room to get my things.
I open the door and see Leah sitting in the chair. She looks at me and smiles.
"Hi Rookie."
I smile back at her. "Hi. I'm just gathering my things."
"Yeah I know, Georgia told me already."
I collect my things while she is looking at me.
"Thank you for the last two nights, I really enjoyed spending time with you."
I can see her cheeks are turning red. "Me too Dani. You've got no idea." She gets up from her chair and walks towards me. She holds my hand as she places a soft kiss on my lips, leaving me speechless.
She steps back and takes a seat again, without saying a word.
"DANI!!!!!" Georgia is shouting.
"Georgia, welcome back."
"Thanks mate. And again, thanks for helping me out."
"Pleasure was all mine." I say while I look Leah straight into her eyes.
"You two coming to movie night tonight?" I ask them.
"I am. I love movie night." Georgia answers.
"I'm not sure yet. Maybe." Leah doesn't look at me.
"Are you going Dani?" Georgia asks.
"I think I will." I give her a smile.
"Great. See you tonight then."
"See you later." I say as I walk away.
