Leah and I walk towards the kitchen. Leah gets the potatoes and looks at me.
"Let me guess, you want me to peel them?" I ask her.
She gives me an innocent smile. "I will help you but first I'll get your aunt a good glass of wine."
She looks around for a glass while I start peeling the potatoes. My eyes are drawn to her, I'm watching her walk around in the kitchen, trying her best to make this a perfect night without realizing that this is already the perfect night, her effort and her presence are more than enough.
She pours in 2 glasses of wine. "For my lady." She says as she gives me the glass. "This is one of the best there is."
She takes the other glass and brings it to Julie, I hear them chatting for a while. I start to giggle, she gets away with peeling the potatoes. I walk up to her.
"Miss Williamson." I say with a firm tone in my voice.
She freezes and looks over her shoulder. "The potatoes." She says with a smile on her face.
I start to laugh. "Sneaky bastard."
"It wasn't intentional, I promise."
"It was my fault, I started talking about the wine and we drifted off to my holiday in Italy last year." Julie says defending her.
We walk back to the kitchen and I grab my glass of wine.
"Where is your glass?" I ask her.
"I have to drive us back home baby so that means no alcohol for me."
"I can drive us back if you want a glass? I don't mind."
She shakes her head. "I want you to taste it."
I take a sip of the wine. "Hm delicious."
"What can I do?" She asks me.
"I don't know baby, you're the one with the recipe."
I laugh a little, she can be so clumsy sometimes. She is giggling while she gets her phone and looks at the recipe.
"Ok, we have to wait till the potatoes are cooked. Does Julie have an apron I can borrow?"
"Yes, she does." I look around and grab it. I give it to Leah who puts it on.
She makes a little pirouette. "What do you think?" She asks me, laughing a little.
"Honestly.." I say as I softly push her back so she stands against the countertop. "I would prefer to see how this looks without any clothes underneath." I whisper.
Leah parts her lips and I hear a little gasp. "Dani...." She whispers.
"Hmhm." I say as I move closer.
She grabs me and lifts me up so my feet don't touch the floor anymore. She puts me on top of the countertop. I start to scream a little, which makes her laugh.
"I might not look that strong but I am."
"Oh baby, I know what those arms can do." I say as I look straight into her eyes.
"Don't you do this to me right now." She says.
"Why not?" I ask her, giving her my naughty smile.
"Because all I want to do right now is fuck you right here on this countertop." She whispers in my ear.
I can't speak anymore. Her words affect me so much. I stare into her eyes.
"I can't think of anything else right now." I whisper.
Our little moment is interrupted by the alarm of the kitchen timer.
Leah giggles as she saw me startle a little. "Guess we should start mashing those potatoes."
I get off of the countertop and stand behind her, my hands on her hips.
"Don't." She whispers. "I can't concentrate."
"Sorry." I say as I let her go. "Let's divide the tasks." I tell her.
She nods and both get to work, making sure we present a lovely dinner.
We both look at the plates and at each other. "Looks pretty damn good." Leah says.
I nod enthusiastically. "You bring the plates and I'll bring the wine and your water."
She nods and we walk back to Julie, who has set the table. She even lighted some candles.
"This looks amazing girls."
"It was made with love." I tell her. I see Leah looking and smiling at me as I say the words.
"Let's make a toast." Julie says as she raises her glass of wine. She looks at Leah. "Where is your wine?"
"I have to drive." Leah says with a smile.
"You two can stay here, I've already changed the sheets because I figured you would stay here."
Leah looks at me with question marks in her eyes. I nod.
"Are you sure?" She asks Julie.
Julie gets up to get another glass. "No doubt about it."
I grab Leah's leg and squeeze it softly. "You sure you want to stay?"
"Of course baby, I don't mind where I am, as long as I'm with you."
She makes my heart melt. Julie comes back from the kitchen with a glass of wine for Leah.
We all raise the glass and Julie clears her throat.
"To this lovely couple, whatever you are doing Leah, keep on doing it because I haven't seen Dani this happy in a very long time. I hope you two make it till the end."
We cling our glasses and Leah's cheeks are blushing. I rub my hand over her cheeks and smile at her.
"It's true, you make me the happiest girl alive."
She gives me a quick kiss on my cheek. I can tell she is a little shy since we are in front of my aunt.
"Thank you for that lovely speech Julie and I promise you right here, right now that I will do everything in my power to keep her happy." She says as she gives me a loving look.
My cheeks are blushing and I give her my most beautiful smile. "Love you." I whisper.
"Let's eat." Leah says as she clears her throat. It looks like she is getting a little emotional here.
I'll pretend I didn't notice and I'll ask her about it later.
Julie takes a bite of her food. "Delicious, you girls did a great job."
We chat away as we enjoy the dinner. Julie is pouring us another glass of wine.
"So, Dani. What are you going to do if you move to England? You two are moving in together?"
I haven't really thought about this, it has crossed my mind obviously but Leah and I haven't talked about it.
"I guess it depends on a lot of things."
"What kind of things?" Julie asks, sincerely interested.
"First of all, my next club. If I'll move to, let's say, Spurs, I can't go live with Leah without questions being asked."
"Did you really have to use Spurs as an example?" Leah says jokingly. We all know how she feels about them.
"And?" Julie asks looking at me.
"And, if I would go to Arsenal.. Well, I'm not sure. I don't know how Arsenal arranges those things."
"But you know, right?" Julie asks Leah.
Leah nods. "There are going to be a lot of changes. Players are leaving, people are moving so things are going to be tossed around a bit. I'm not sure who will live and move where but things like this always go in agreement with every party involved. I think they will wait to see who will join the club in the transfer window and who needs housing."
"Makes sense but it's not an answer to my question. Would it be an option for the two of you to live together?"
I sigh. "Leah still lives with Jordan so that isn't such a good idea.""I won't be living with her for long."
I've heard that more than once. I'm not too sure about Jordan actually searching for another home but I don't want to get that discussion started at this moment.
"First things first, I have to see what club will put in a bid and I'll have to talk to them and we will see what will happen."
Julie nods. "I get it. Step by step."
Julie gets up and gets our plates.
"I'll help you." Leah says as she gets up."No, you two take a seat on the couch, I'll clean up."
Leah wants to say something but Julie stops her from talking straight away. "Go, sit."
I start to giggle. "You won't win this." I whisper towards Leah. She looks at me and smiles.
She takes a seat on the couch, leaning against the armrest so I can easily put my head on her chest.
I sigh the moment my head feels her body. "It feels so good to be so close to you."
"Hmhm." She says as she starts playing with my hair. My eyes are starting to feel heavy as I listen to her heartbeat.
