"Well, you're all set." Aaron smiled at Ron, who was holding his belongings in a strong, proud grip. "I'm glad you're out. You're a good guy." Aaron exhaled. "I was wrong about you not changing." He gave the younger male a sloppy 'good luck' bump on the arms. "Thanks man." Ron nodded.

The two males made their way to the streets, it was quiet and empty. "I'll show you the way to the house Mark, Ivy, Myles and the other guy who was in your group are staying at." Aaron said, and Ron just followed him. It was rather far away but it didn't matter.

To Ron's surprise it was much smaller than all the other houses around it. It was much dirtier too. A part of it even looked to be falling apart. "It looks like shit, but I swear it's ok from the inside." Aaron said. "It's great." Ron smiled. "The other houses would have been to neat and big for us anyways." His voice was rather empty and cold. Ron had a tendency to speak that way, even if the words he was saying were excited or whatever.

"Great." Aaron smiled with a nod. "If you need anything just give me a call, or yeah. . . You know." He laughed. "Honestly just contact anyone and they'll ether help you or get you someone who can."

Ron nodded; he was excited to not be stuck in the cell anymore. these people trusted him after two months. It was worth it.

"About the job part, we'll see what we can get you. . . I'm sure you know what your friends are doing on the days, perhaps expect something like that." Aaron mumbled, and Ron nodded. Mark had gotten the job to chop up wood, before that he had worked in building stuff out of wood. He got a raise when they started trusting them more. That's how this works, you earn your way to trust and 'better' or funnier jobs.

Ivy teaches toddlers, she started out with making food for the elders and after that she helped people out with housework for a while, then she got the job she has now. They trusted Myles pretty quickly; he cooked a lot before he became a hunter. Lucky bastard. Finally, Sebbe, who they really haven't trusted yet, he's a gardener. And Ron's expecting to be the same and never going up from it. But it didn't really matter, at least they were safe.

Ron made his way into the house. It was empty and weirdly quiet. It was like the walls made Ron's thought bounce back at him, it was easy to get in a bad state as he wondered up the creaky stairs that led to the second floor of the narrow building. The stairs were steep, and Ron felt like he would slip and fall at any moment. His and Mark's room was the area upstairs. It was actually really nice, or well, plain and simple as Mark would call it.

The room's roof was shaped after how the house was built and there was a bed by the right side of the wall, it was clearly Mark's. A mattress was sloppily shoved in the other, with a note that Ron though he'd read later, after scanning the room. There was a desk, and a chair. A bunch of books, paper and pens. It seemed like Mark had written something, but Ron didn't want to be nosy and check. There was a cd player by Ron's mattress and in one of the corners Mark had gotten Ron a guitar, along with a box wrapped in red ribbon.

Ron walked up to the mattress, picking up the note.

'Yeah, I'm your best bud. I'm off at work right now so me, Myles, Amy and Sebbe wanted to welcome you.' Ron smiled at the note slightly, yet his eyes were quite dull.

'Even if they helped it's mostly from me (Mark). I thought I'd do what all best mates do for each other (Give you a gift, what the fuck else?) I'm sure you'll like this. (Sorry for taking the bed, I knew you wouldn't mind) But I made you a present, it's the box in the corner... AND THE GUITAR! Man, this is my way of telling you welcome. You're like an annoying little brother and I hate it.'

Ron shook his head with a smile, throwing the note on the mattress once more without reading the last word. 'Mark.' The two of them really were like brothers and had always been ever since they met on the road.
