Moon Valley's packhouse had a pretty simple layout. The first floor consisted of the main living areas for the occupants. It had a large living area and kitchen, but the dining hall, which could seat over a hundred people, took up most of the floor. The second floor was where you could find the offices of the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and their mates. It also held a conference room that was used for meetings with visiting leaders from other packs. The remaining floors were bedrooms for pack members who lived in the packhouse.

The Main living area on the first floor of the pack house was decorated in a contemporary style. The walls were an industrial grey, and all the furniture was black. A couple abstract paintings provided eye-catching pops of color to the room. The large leather couches were where I found Calder, Linc, and Becca a couple of days after the incident with Haven.

Linc and Becca looked at me with welcoming smiles as I walked into the room, but Calder barely glanced in my direction. His eyes didn't connect with mine like usual. Instead, they skipped right across my face before darting away.

Before I could even get to the couch, he stood and made some lame excuse to leave the room. He'd been doing that ever since the argument with Haven. Linc followed after him with an apologetic smile in my direction.

"Is he pissed at me for arguing with his mate? For not waiting for her?"

"No," Becca responded simply, but she didn't offer any further explanation, making me doubt her answer.

"So, where are we on the party planning?" I changed the subject, knowing she wouldn't be offering me any further insight into Calder's mood.

"Oh, right. I forgot. Do you mind calling caterers for me?" I instantly agreed, and she pulled a piece of notebook paper from her back pocket. "This is a list of the ones we've used before and a list of food I want. All I need you to do is call each and get pricing. They're all good. So, whoever has the best price, book them for the party."

"Any special instructions?"

"No. Since we've used them, they all know the drill. They bring the food, and we meet them at the gate an hour before the event."
