Chapter 8

Keefe's POV

I was a bit concerned about Foster. Fitz had ushered her away with him and I wasn't sure if I could trust him anymore, after seeing his jealousy over Sophie.

Anyways, after they left, I zoned out for a bit while everybody else gossiped. Finally, I decided to check on her. I got up and walked out of the room. I was going to knock on the door but I decided against it. 

I opened the door.

Sophie's POV

As soon as Fitz kissed me, my first thought was Wait, what?!?

I was so grossed out that I pushed him away.

And that's exactly when the door creaked open.

Keefe's POV

I walked onto the balcony to see Foster and Fitzy standing very close together with Fitz's hand on her cheek. Wait...

Were they- were they kissing??? Foster had a look of disgust on her face... but still!

I thought our kiss had meant something... I thought she liked me back. But, no.

I turned on my heel, feeling my eyes start to water.

"Wait!" I hear a voice say from behind me. I turn to see a red-faced Foster with tears slipping down her face. She grabbed my hand, not letting go.

"Keefe, it's not what it looks like! Fitz-" Foster began to tell me.

"She kissed me. She said she loves me." My ex-best friend interrupts.

Foster turns around and gawks. "I did not say that! Your lying! You kissed-"

I didn't know what to believe anymore. I pulled my hand out of Sophie's grip and left.
