Sophie's POV
I felt soft lips touch my forehead. I jolted up and rubbed my eyes.
"Where am I?" I asked groggily. Then I noticed the cute boy sitting next to me. My heart melted.
My thoughts came flowing back. I was at Keefe's house and well, we were supposed to be doing work. Which resulted in me falling asleep on Keefe's rug.
I looked at Keefe and grinned. He was flushed, probably thinking I was sound asleep when he kissed me.
"Well, look who is blushing now!" I said, smirking.
Keefe smirked back and said, "Well, it's not hard to blush at someone as pretty as you."
And, you know it. I blushed scarlet red. I changed the subject before I could turn into a tomato. "Umm... what time is it, Keefe?" I said while looking out the window.
He looked at his watch. "10:00" He replied. I groaned. "I am not biking home in the dark."
"Well, you could crash here tonight." Then he realized how that sounded. "I'll sleep on the floor, uh, obviously."
My heart melted once more. I texted my parents and gave Keefe a gentle kiss on the lips.
I laid down on his bed, smelling his playful scent on his pillow. I breathed in. I loved that scent. When I was about to fall asleep, I felt a hand gently grab mine. I smiled in the dark room. I had the best boyfriend ever.
And I swear I heard a soft, mumbled "I love you" coming from the floor below me.
~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ The next morning~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
I awoke with a start when I heard a pot being banged on the wall next to me. Literally. Keefe was standing there with a dang metal pot, having the time of his life.
"Very funny." I said, trying to contain my laughter. Soon after, Keefe and I raced downstairs to his kitchen for breakfast.
"I call the pancakes." I shouted as I slid into the kitchen. "No! They're mine!" He playfully, pushed me out of the way. I laughed all throughout the morning.
I changed into the clothes that my mom dropped off at Keefe's place and Keefe and I jogged to his bus stop (we were a little late).
We sat on the bus together and then split up for period one. As soon as I sat down in English class, Biana raced up to me, squealing.
"Omg, Soph! Did you hear about the Halloween dance!" She said, barely containing her happiness. I shook my head. Biana pulled out a small flyer. "Spread the word!" She shouted back as she skipped off.
I just shrugged and continued writing about commas in my notebook.
-TIME SKIP TO LUNCH-
Keefe and I walked into the lunch room, hand in hand. On the way to our table, Keefe started to say something. "Hey, so did you hear about the-" He was cut off by laughter flowing from our table. He gave me a small smile and sighed as we sat down.
"What's so funny, guys?" I asked, confused.
"OMG SOPHIE. So, Fitz got rejected by this girl named Amber when he was trying to get a date to the dance and it was so *laughter* funny!" Dex said, and began to choke from laughing.
I smiled but worries flooded into my head. Keefe would ask me to the dance.
Right?
