I stumbled through the Forrest as I ran, not daring to look back to check if I was still being followed. A storm loomed in the distance and my legs screamed as I pushed them to move faster than before. I could no longer hear footsteps behind me but I wasn't one to slow down when danger could loom behind any corner.

I wasn't sure what was following me, but it sounded like some beast. I knew I could usually face creatures which lurked in the shadows, but it had been a while since I had slept, eaten or even had water. I was in no shape to hunt or be hunted.

Finally, I approached a clearing in the forrest, infront of which was a tavern which sat on a hill above a town. I knew there were a few coins at the bottom of my bag which I could use to atleast get something to eat so I charged forward to the tavern. I felt like I could collapse from exhaustion and starvation, but the tavern was too close for my body to fail me now. At last, I managed to stumble through the tavern door, falling over my own feet infront of some boots. I groaned from the impact, my body aching at an extreme level. I let my body fully drop onto the floor, my icy hair messily sprawling out around me.

"Woah, are you okay?" The cheerful, childlike voice called from above me. I guess this was the owner of the boots I was glaring at for witnessing this embarrassing ordeal.

"Peachy. Spectacular actually." I huffed, rolling onto my back so I was now staring up at the individual. He had shaggy blonde hair and the brightest emerald eyes I had ever seen. He dopily smiled down at me and blinked away my sarcasm. His hand extended towards me, which I glared at also before accepting it reluctantly. He effortlessly pulled me to my feet. I stood a good few inches above him, though it was undoubtable how strong he was.

"Oh my! Would you like some water miss?" A girl even taller then myself spoke. She had long flowing hair, a silvery green colour which accentuated her bright blue eyes, though only one eye was visible because of her fringe.

"Please. And it's-" my sentence was cut off as a new person entered the conversation.

"Amihan?" My blood ran cold as my crimson eyes darted to the man who spoke. He hadn't changed a bit. I felt my eyes prick as I continued to stare at him, my heart racing. After all these years, here he was.

"Ban." I exhaled, my breath feeling trapped in my throat. Without a second thought, I used the last of my strength to charge at him, my fist landing harshly on his jaw. He flew backwards and into the tavern walls, a large crack now circling his frame.

"Come on now Ami, is that any way to greet your big brother?" He croaked out, dislodging himself from the wall. The other inhabitants jumped at the word brother, all of them surrounding us now.

"You never told us you have a sister, Sir Ban." The long haired woman delicately spoke, placing a glass of water on the table next to me. I nodded at her with a silent thank you before accepting the drink and taking a seat. I was afraid my shaky legs would give way any minute now.

"I wouldn't expect the people in your life to know about me. Not after you abandoned me all those years ago." I spat with as much venom as my weak voice could master. His gaze softened as he looked at his feet with shame. The others were silent though their eyes screamed with curiosity. I ignored them and turned to the shaggy haired blonde.

"Hey kid, this is a tavern right? Do you sell Vanya Ale?" The blonde chuckled as he headed to the bar and poured out some Vanya Ale. He placed it infront of me and sat beside me.

"You can have it on the house. And I'm not a kid by the way, I own this tavern. I'm Meliodas and that's Elizabeth." My red eyes glared at the woman as a realisation fell over me.

"Your princess Elizabeth? The third princess of Liones?" I couldn't help but feel more animosity build inside me. This woman was a royal. Someone who was handed everything to her on a silver spoon whilst people like me had to steal just to get by. How on earth was it fair that as a child she got to frolic in fields without a care in the world whilst I had to rummage forrests for anything edible?

"Ami here doesn't care for royals Princess. Anyone with money really." Ban spoke up, a nervous glance being thrown my way. She gulped at his words, nodding in understanding.

"Well I do hope to change your opinion of me Lady Amihan." She softly spoke, almost as if she too was nervous of my annoyance to her kind. At my full strength, she should be nervous. I was definitely not weak usually.

"Unlikely. I just came here to eat and get a drink then I'll be gone." I grunted before letting the sweet ale dribble down my throat. I hummed in satisfaction at the apple like taste.

"You're leaving so soon?" Meliodas quirked his eyebrow at me, his burning gaze never leaving me for a moment. He seemed to be analysing me almost. He too was curious, though his curiosity seemed deeper than Elizabeth and Ban's.

"Ban's been avoiding me for years. I wouldn't want to intrude now." Ban swallowed thickly at my words, slowly approaching the table like I was an angered animal. My scorching glare never eased.

"You know why I had to distance myself from you Ami. It was too hard being around you after... after Elaine-" I cut him off, unable to listen to anything that involved Elaine. The memory was far too painful.

"I never stated I didn't know why you left." I mumbled, playing with the torn part of my outfit. A branch must have snagged it as I was running. This was the last outfit I owned. Great.

"Well you can't leave yet anyways. You're not strong enough out there on your own." Meliodas chirped, his stare still not leaving my own. Something about him felt eerily familiar, though I couldn't place where I could possibly know him from.

"Seriously, I'll just eat and then I'll be on my way." I firmly stated. What did he want? Why did he want me here?

"Still as stubborn as ever Ami. Come on, I'll cook you up something." Before I could protest, a squeakier voice spoke up just as a pig trotted into view.

"Is she one of the other seven deadly sins?" My eyes double in size as I let out a squeal of fear and leapt from my seat about 3 feet into the air. I landed on something a lot softer then the bench and arms went out to land under my neck and long legs. I blew my hair out of my face and blushed as I was only a few inches away from Meliodas' face. He grinned at me and winked.

"Did— Did that pig just talk or am I finally going crazy?" I whimpered, too startled by the whole interaction to move out of Meliodas' grasp. He let out a soft chuckle and shook his head.

"We'll if you're related to Ban, you're definitely crazy. But yes, the pig speaks." I gulped and leant forward to look at the creature.

"I am Sir Hawk! Captain of scraps disposal!" I hid myself in Meliodas' chest as another yelp left my lips. I could hear Ban's laughter from the kitchen.

"She's scared of pigs, Captain. One bit her when we were growing up." He cackled, making my cheeks burn more.

"You don't have to worry Amihan, if Hawk tries to bite you then we'll turn them into a great roasted hog for dinner." Meliodas' smile never left his face. As much as I usually hated people like that, something about his cheeky nature made me feel slightly at ease.
