Walking out of the trail Centre with the trio felt completely different to when I entered it. In order to complete the task at hand, I needed to try to accept what Zeldris had told me all them years ago.

"-as long as that goddess lives, you will always be second best. He will always disappoint you."

Although I knew this, I had never came to accept it. To be honest, I still hadn't. But with the intense need to serve my duty to loyalty, I learned to live with that fact. It wasn't the curse making Meliodas choose her in every lifetime. The curse was for me to have to face that, whilst he came to realise it. Elizabeth was and always will be his soulmate.

It was numbing. Crying wasn't an option anymore. Screaming until my lungs gave out and desecrating villages until my rage and pain subsided wasn't either. I had to live with the fact, and deal with it. For Britainia. For the greater good of not only this realm but both the goddess and demon realm too. For Meliodas.

He left the trial with his usual nonchalant smile which could make anyone feel at ease, whereas Elizabeth kept looking over at him appreciatively. His eyes landed on me though, his hand rubbing the top of my hair playfully.

"We did it Ami. We can get our powers back!" He excitedly skipped along. I took in a deep breath, tilting my head to make eye contact. The pain still resided deep inside, though my mind locked it away in a little box. I was simply fulfilling a mission I was set many years ago.

"We sure did Mel." I hummed, finally seeing the others. He quirked an eyebrow at me, his grin faltering slightly.

"Come on Ami, I was expecting a bigger reaction then that. After all, this is the first time in 3000 years were gonna be able to hang out like the good old days." He swung his arm over my shoulders, squeezing as he did so. I couldn't help the laugh that bubbled up my throat from falling out.

"Us hanging out 3000 years ago included a holy war, just like it possibly will again. I don't see how that's the 'good old days'." I chuckled, tapping his chest before escaping his grasp and heading off infront to the group. Although not all of them were present, it seemed as if they were in their own trials.

"I see you made it out alive Amihan. What a pity." Jenna commented, her eyes remaining on an orb which showed the trials of others. I scoffed, walking into her eyesight.

"Guess I'm full of surprises." I sarcastically smiled, to which she returned.

"You do realise, that body of yours will probably go into complete shock if you were to absorb your powers currently. After all, you haven't lived in that form properly for what was it, 3000 years now?" Jenna's previous polite tone was completely dropped, her clear disapproval of me evident now. Though, her words rang true.

"And you're telling me this why? I'm sure it would give you great pleasure to see that." I commented, to which she nodded and let out a humourless laugh.

"Yes Amihan. It would indeed satisfy me to see that level of pain fall upon you after the pain you brought on for Zaneri. But a holy war is looming and despite my hate for you, your power will be necessary if the good side has any chance of winning." We both fell silent for a moment, knowing she spoke the truth. I cracked my neck and knuckles, letting out a sigh.

"I guess I better get training then. Warm this old meat sack up to regain its true potential." I grinned, though she cringed at my word choice.

"I suggest another trial, though this one will be physical rather than mental. You can take Hendy in with you as King here 'isn't in the mood'." I snorted at her words, an itching of a smile gracing the corner of Jenna's lips.

"Sounds good to me. You up for it Hendrickson?" It was strange seeing the man he clearly was before the entire demon thing happened to him. He seemed quite reserved, and completely plagued by his previous actions. It was almost a sad sight. Stories of both him and Dreyfus circulated Britainnia for years, though this man was a ghost of his former self; he was merely running on sheer determination to make his wrongs right once more.

"Of course." He nodded meekly, rising to his feet and waiting for me to join him on the walk into the cave. We were silent for a moment, though silence never was my strong suit.

"I'm Amihan by the way." I introduced myself, leaving my weapons at the cave entrance and collecting a wooden sword. He did the same, and nodded at my words.

"Jenna informed me of who you were. Ex-Commandment of Loyalty." I rolled my eyes, letting out a small laugh.

"I'm sure she had many colourful words to describe me." He chuckled also, once again nodding.

"I guess you could say that." As we entered the cave, darkness began enveloping us.

"Well despite what she may have said and the truth she may have altered, yes I am an Ex-Commandment. Though as you're aware that's in my past, I hope you can trust me when I say that is behind me. I fought for the goddess side 3000 years ago and plan on doing the same now. I thought I'd clear that up as it seems these trials rely a lot on teamwork." Just as I finished talking, light engulfed the dark cave and a deep growl sounded from the shadows. I smirked and cracked my bones once more.

"Now this will be fun."
