And I'm back. Hope y'all enjoy the next part, aka season three

I woke up on the floor of Mike's basement.

We were all there last night.

Mike and Will were up in Mike's room, with Lucas on an air mattress. El wasn't allowed to sleep in Mike's room, so she slept on the only other air mattress.

"We should let her sleep on it, or she'll kill us with her telekinesis." Max had said.

"I'm sure she won't kill us."

Sure enough, Max and I had fallen asleep on the two couches in the basement. I fell off the couch in the middle of the night and woke up when I smacked my head on the table. It hurt like a bitch.

Back to the present time, I looked around. I was on the floor, not having gotten up when I fell. Max was drooling on the other couch on the other side of the room, and Eleven was found asleep peacefully in the middle of the room.

I found myself staring at Max. Her red hair was glowing in the morning light, the sun casting a shadow just past her face. Her freckles were dark on her skin, much more prominent now that it was almost July.

Mike had invited everyone over to watch the new movie he'd gotten, Nightmare on Elm Street. It wasn't that scary, we'd literally all seen worse.

I stayed on the floor for a while, eventually picking myself up to use the bathroom. When I got out, I found Max waking up.

I didn't want to annoy her, so I just took a comic book from one of the shelves and opened it, watching Max get up.

She wiped the drool from her mouth after she realized it was there, and blinked her eyes open. Then she squinted because it was right in the sun.

I waved, glancing over the comic.

"Hey." She grinned, walking over to me. She frowned as she got closer, staring at me. "What happened?"

"What?"

"Your cheek?"

I reached for the side of my face, hitting something. Oh, awesome, my face was swollen. I felt around my cheekbone and located a part where the skin had been scratched off, and my finger stung the cut.

"Oh."

"What did you do to it?" She asked, turning my chin with her finger to see it closer.

"I fell on the table."

"Oh." She leaned in even closer, only inches away. Her breath was warm on my cheek. If I were to turn my head, we would've kissed.

My heart was racing. Why is my heart racing?

I couldn't tell if my face felt hot because of the injury, or the fact that Max was just a little bit away from my face.

She blew on the cut, instantly making it feel better. It was cold now, taking the sting away. But my face was probably bright red, but who fucking cares?

"That better?" She asked softly.

"Yeah, a little." I shrugged, leaning back. "It doesn't hurt that bad."

"Awesome." She smiled, leaning back and checking out the comic I had. "Spiderman?"

"Yeah."

"Nice." She looked around the room, her gaze landing on Eleven. "She's still asleep."

I nodded.

Max sighed, looking around to the stairs. "Do you know what time it is?"

I checked my watch. "It's eight thirty."

"Oh, then let's go upstairs."

"Why?"

"To wake up the guys."

"Oh, okay."

"But don't wake up Eleven. I don't want her to get mad. She's scary." Max whispered, creeping past her air mattress.

I gave her a thumbs up, following her up the basement stairs.

Ted was sitting in the living room reading the paper, and Karen was playing with Holly. Max and I went by un-noticed and climbed the stairs to Mike's room.

Right as I was about to knock on the door, a guy stumbled out of Nancy's room, fixing his shirt.

"Hey Jonathan." Max muttered, opening Mike's bedroom door.

He cringed and glanced back into Nancy's room. "Hi."

"Wake up!" Max announced. I stood next to her, staring at the boys. Lucas was on the air mattress next to Mikes's bed. Will was sleeping on top of Mike sideways, with one arm hanging over the side, and Mike had an arm wrapped around Will.

Max smirked, plopping herself on the end of the air mattress.

Lucas was thrown off, a pile of blankets hitting the floor with a loud thud. "Hey!"

"Wake up." Max grinned, pulling his blankets off.

"Ugh." He rubbed his eyes, staring at her. "Really?"

"Yep." She stood him up, brushing off his shoulders.

"Hello?" Mike whispered, groaning.

"Hi." I waved from the end of his bed.

"Oh." He looked up at me, then noticed Will. "Oh-" He pushed Will off him as fast as he could, turning bright red and pulling the blankets over his shoulders.

Will slowly woke up as well, blinking his eyes open. "Oh, hi."

"Hi." I smiled.

"What are you guys doing in here?" Mike whispered, looking at the floor where Lucas had been.

"Max wanted to wake you guys up." I glanced at her. She was making out with Lucas against the wall. "Yeah, uhh..."

Mike frowned. "Where's El?"

"Asleep."

"You left her downstairs?" He scrambled out of bed. "Alone?"

"She's fine Mike," Will muttered.

"But my parents-"

I glanced at Will, who was not so subtly staring at Mike. "Give her a break Mike."

"Yeah, she's probably exhausted from you talking every second," Max added.

"Thanks," He said, throwing his door open and leaving.

"Will, make sure to say hi to your brother next door." Max laughed, going back to Lucas.

"Seriously?" Will wrapped the blanket around his shoulders, pouting.

"Come on guys!" Mike shouted, his footsteps thudding on the staircase.

I walked to the door, waiting for everyone to leave. Will pulled himself to his feet and wrapped the blanket even tighter around him. Max and Lucas took their time.

"Max," I said.

"Hold on-"

I groaned and followed Will out. His blanket was taking up the entire staircase, so I had to wait until he was at the bottom.

When we went downstairs, Mike and Eleven were kissing on the couch.

"Ugh." Will muttered, turning back to the stairs.

"I know." I glanced at the stairs, where Max and Lucas were arriving. Max was red, laughing about something as she hoped down the stairs.

"Hey." Lucas waved to me.

I nodded, turning back to Will. He rolled his eyes.

"Dustin's supposed to get back tomorrow," Lucas said.

"We know." Will was still staring at Mike and Eleven. More specifically, Mike, I think.
