57: Don't Call Robin

"STEVE!" I screamed, throwing my pillow at him. "WHAT THE FUCK!"

His eyes were wide. "You-"

"Get the fuck out!" Max shouted.

I got up, running after him. "Wait it's not what it looks like-"

He stood behind the table. "Hold on I gotta call Robin-"

"Do not fucking call Robin!" I ran for the phone, but he grabbed it first, holding it above his head. "Steve!"

"That wasn't what you think it is!" Max exclaimed, running in.

"No no no wait!" He shouted. "Chill out."

"What do you mean chill out you just fucking-" I groaned.

"I'm just gonna call Robin-"

"Why would you call Robin!" Max shrieked, punching him.

"Ow! Listen to me!"

"Do not fucking tell anyone!" She continued hitting him.

"No-no I'm not gonna I-" He groaned, bending over. I grabbed the phone from him, hanging it back up. "Max!" He said in a high-pitched voice.

"What did you do?" I asked.

"I kicked him in the dick." She said.

"What? Why would you-"

"You got the phone, right?" She nodded to it on the hook.

"Yeah-"

"You know sometimes I really hate you Mayfield-" He muttered, sitting down.

"Why would you immediately call Robin?" She asked, crossing her arms in front of him.

"Because she's-" He paused. "She's a good person to talk to-"

"Oh, now we need to talk to someone?" Max scoffed. "You know, I thought you of all people would be cool about it."

"No-no, let me talk." He said. "I am cool about it, it's just Robin is-"

"Robin is what?" I asked.

"She's-" He groaned. "Well, she'd be a good person for you guys to chat with-"

"Why?" Max questioned. "Is she a lesbian?"

"No-" He frowned. "Well-"

"Is that a yes or no?" I muttered.

"Just-no. It's a no." He sighed. "Can I please just call her real quick?"

"No!" I exclaimed. "Why would you need to call her?"

"To tell her?"

Max glared at him.

I made three grilled cheese sandwiches while Max continued to glare at him.

"Thank you." She said as I set the plate in front of her.

"Thanks," Steve added, taking his as I handed it to him.

I nodded, sitting at my normal spot at the table, the chair across from Steve's.

"Can we sit and have a normal conversation while we eat?" He asked.

"I dunno. Are you going to try and call Robin?" Max asked, mouth full of sandwich.

"No."

"Then fine."

"And please don't kick me again." He muttered.

"I won't. If you're not an asshole."

He nodded. "So how long have you two..."
