CHAPTER 17

Juno

I've slept two nights here so far, I've been fed once a day and that's it. My mind always drifting to my mother and where she could be right now. I keep trying to start conversations with the guard but she's still as cold as ever. It was fueling my curiosity because I wanted to know what she looks like under that mask.

"So lady guard, wanna play a game on your iPad?" I asked leaning on the glass door like I did the day before, her head turned to look at me for a second then went back to ignoring me.

"It's called X-O and it's so fun you'll love it" I said more enthusiastically trying to convince her, when she didn't answer me again I sighed in frustration and just laid on the floor and stared at the ceiling bored. In a second she'll search it and ask me about it.

On queue...

"It looks stupid" she replied, I chuckeld at her curiosity because I just knew how to catch her attention, everytime. She was staring at the six empty spots on the digital drawing.

"Okay, the rules are whoever gets three characters on the same row wins. So if I play Xs and I get a straight line of three I win." I sat up as I explained as best as I could, she just tilted her head like a lost puppy and nodded probably not getting what I just said.

"I'll start, X middle box" I said with a smile, with her finger she drew an X in the middle.

"Now your turn" she stared hard at the screen for a second before putting another X on the right middle box. I chuckled and shook my head no, I got up to get closer to the glass.

"No, if I play X you play O. So erase that second X and put an O instead" I pointed to her iPad screen, she deleted the X she put and replaced with an O.

"Okay, now my turn so X top right corner" I said, she wrote it in the correct position and I smiled as I waited for her to do her turn. She put her O in the bottom right corner and that gave me the easy win, I smirked and folded my arms in front of me.

"X bottom left" I said smugly, her head tilted to the side in confusion as she saw the three Xs lined in a straight line.

"Ha! I win" I laughed but I quickly stopped when she turned off her screen.

"What? Why did you do that? I wanna play again" I wined with a scoff, she didn't look my way but she still replied to me.

"It is indeed stupid, like I said earlier" she stated unamused, I rolled my eyes and sighed in defeat.

"It's because you lost" I mumbled walking back to the bed, I just laid there annoyed and very bored. I wish I wasn't here, even though, this has saved me from going to school, I just have a bad feeling that something is gonna happen. Something not in my favor.

From the corner of my eye I saw her lit her screen again and drew the X-O lines, I smiled as she started playing both characters. One time she'd win with the Xs and sometime with the Os but when she got the hang of it she kept getting a draw. She was somehow cute, like the way she acted, like a curious kid. I wonder what she looks like and if her faces matches with her little actions.

"Theodora!" A manly voice yelled making me and the guard jump, she quickly turned off her screen and fixed her posture. Theodora, so that's what they call her, what a beautiful name. I'm sure it suited her face, but I can't say that until I see what she looks like.

"Were you not doing your job?" The voice said again, he finally came into my view and recognized him as Vega's brother the guy who kidnapped me.

"No sir" she said loudly, she pressed something on the wall and the glass door opened, the guy was wearing a long black robe that reached his ankles. He approached me with a smirk on his face.

"Princess Juno of earth" he laughed sarcastically, I was sat on the bed with an annoyed face. I'm just tired if this guy's face, like it just so not nice to look at it. That's why I prefer women.

"I have a surprise for you" he grabbed me by the arm and yanked me forward making fall to the ground harshly. I groaned and held my wrist in pain I've landed on it and it started to sting.

"Chain her and bring her to the throne room" he ordered the guard, she bowed and watched as he left the room. She sighed and knelt down next to me, she grabbed the chains from her waits and put them around my hands making wince, my left hand still hurt from falling on it first. She hesitated first before continuing with her work. I felt her arm wrap around my waist and pull me on my feet. I don't know but I found myself blushing at the simple gesture.

"Thank you" I mumbled, she looked surprised that I was actually polite to her but she quickly brushed it off and asked me to follow after her.
We went through the same hallways like when she was taking me to the see Dr. Lamin, only this time we took a right instead of a left.

I found myself in front of a see through elevator looking thing, she walked in side and pulled me with her. She pressed a button that had a symbole on it and the it started going up.

"So Theodora huh, nice name" I tried to break the awkward tension, the tension that only I seemed to feel because she looking straight without budging from her spot.

"I'm Juno, nice to meet you" I gave her my chained hand so she can shake it, she gave me a look then looked at my hand. The elevator opened and she stepped out leaving me there with my hand still up, I rolled my eyes and dropped my hand to my side following after her.

I was met with a large looking room, reminded me of that time when my mom showed me that movie or whatever it was, where her and Starla were standing and Valeria walked in.

The further I walked the more I recognized the surroundings, a woman was sat on the throne, she was wearing the same robe as the guy except it was white, she also had on her head the same golden spikey crown Starla was wearing in that video. Next to her, stood her son, who dragged me here in the first place.

"Welcome. My name is Valeria and I am the queen on this planet" She said with a smile trying to sound nice, but I knew she was everything but nice.

"Hello, my name is Juno and I don't give a fuck who you are" I replied sarcastically, I noticed the guard stiffen next to me like she wasn't expecting me to speak with her queen like that.

"Ah yes, filthy mouth, just like your mother" Valeria said through gritted teeth, she motioned with her hand and the door to her left opened and there my eyes almost fell out of my head.

"You fuckin bitch!" I laughed dryly, Vega walked in pulling chains that were wrapped around my mom's wrists,

"I should've went to Che- What the hell?!" then when I thought that I should've trusted Cheryl, she as well, walked behind her.

"I am just speechless you know, like I really thought we had something going on." I sat down on the ground in disbelief, I leaned on Theodora's legs to keep my body up. She tried to push me but I didn't move so eventually she sighed and gave up. Let's see what stupid reasons they have to play with my feelings and betray me.
