CHAPTER 25

Juno

Last night I slept in the warmest bed in one of the best rooms in this place, and today I woke up feeling less tired and my energy restored. I yawned pulling the covers off of me. I went to the bathroom connected to this room and took a very warm shower.

Surprisingly, the burn was okay since I go it treated yesterday. That machine can do wonders, now all I had to do is clean it so it can heal nicely.

After finishing with my shower, I went back inside the room and I noticed clothes laid on the chair next to my bed. It was a white outfit, a pair of pants, a shirt and a coat that had to be zipped up, like the one Vigor and Vega were wearing but black instead of the white I had. I noticed how the outfit looks like the fit Neo from The Matrix wore and it made me feel powerful.

After fixing my hair and outfit, I put the pair of white shoes that were brought to me with the clothes. I stood in front of the door, there was one single button on the wall so I pushed it, the door opened and there stood someone guarding my door.

"Morning" I said walking brushed past them, before I could get any further an arm wrapped around my smaller waist and pulled me to them. A heard the familiar mask click and a raspy chuckle.

"So no good morning kiss for me?" She said kissing behind my ear, I gripped on her arm that was around my waist while I tried to control myself as the sparks tickled my skin. She gently flipped me around to look at her, her mask was off and she had a soft smile on her face. My eyes traveled to her neck, and I noticed the wire mark that she forgot to get checked out.

"I'm sorry, I didn't help you in time" I whispered touching the mark on her neck with guilt, her hand grabbed mine and pulled it to her lips. She put a soft a kiss on my fingers while still looking down at me.

"Don't blame yourself Juno, it was meant to happen. You can't change your past but you can control your future" she explained, I nodded letting out a long sigh. I saw her face lean closer to mine, her lips were hovering over mine and I could feel the tension building up around us.

"You can control me Juno" she whispered against my lips before crashing them on mine, I wrapped my arms around her neck and pulled her unbelievably closer to my body.

What she said was the smoothest thing I've ever heard, she said that I can't change my past, but I can control my future then proceeded to say that I can control her, which meant, she was my future... I'm sure she's been reading too many pick up lines that she saw on her alien iPad.

"C'mon, we're gonna be late" she said pulling away with a smile on her face. I laced my fingers with hers as we walked towards the throne room.

"I have something for you" she said stopping right before we reach the door, I turned to look at her to see a cute smile on her face.

"Yesterday, while I was being treated at the infirmary. I've figured a way to never lose at the X-O game." She said with excitement like a child, I giggled and shook my head. I tiptoed to give her a peck on the lips to which she reacted to with red cheeks and a stunned face. How can she be so cute, blushing and acting stunned when we just kissed a minute ago.

"You can show me later" I whispered with a smirk, she blinked a couple of times before clearing her throat and nodding her head in agreement. I pushed the main door open and walked in the room to find Starla seated on her throne and my mom on a smaller one right next to her.

"Morning darling" Starla said with a smile, I bowed slightly in respect and walked closer to where they were.

"Theodora, how is your chest?" My mom asked Theo who had her mask back on and was standing behind me.

"Much better your highness, thank you" she bowed, we stepped to the side at the sound of the door opening again. Two guards walked inside with Vigor, who was chained and had an smirk on his face. His lips weren't sewed anymore and it was bothering me.

"After years of being locked up, yesterday Valeria has decided to wake me. Which was a huge mistake, Vega, the first child of the traitor made sure the amount of 'liquid' extracted from me was too much to handle for Valeria, which ended up with her dying but not after a fight" she started while extending her arm in front of her, showing the screen and scenes from what happened yesterday.

Valeria was holding her head in pain as the tubes pumped the extract in her body, at some point she couldn't take it anymore so she ripped the tubes out. She made her way to Starla's bed and was about to kill her when the door opened revealing my mother.

My mother threw the closet thing at Valeria and that was a metal bottle, Valeria didn't seem too happy so she launched at my mother. Hitting her, punch from Valeria and the other from my mom. At some point, Valeria was about to lose so she tried to use her powers.

Her eyes started to glow white, her hand was building up some weird white energy almost similar to the one I have. My mom was on the ground crawling back because anything she threw at Valeria wasn't stopping her.

Valeria's nose started to bleed and she pulled her hand towards my mom and was about to release that energy that would've probably melted my mother when she suddenly stopped. She looked down at her chest and there was a huge hole, Starla was now awake and her hair and eyes were glowing the same way, she's killed Valeria. My mom Gaia, was coated in blood stood up and ran to Starla to help her stand up.

"And that's exactly what happened, so if Vega didn't turn the machine settings into giving Valeria more power than she could take. She would've been alive right now and much stronger" Starla said turning off her screen, the door slammed open and someone walked holding something in their hands.

I gasped in horror as I watched Vega holding someone's head in her hands, her eyes were red and she looked like she's been crying. Her whole body and face was covered in blood, and she was shaking uncontrollably. She looked like she didn't have a soul or a heart.

"What have you done?!" I yelled, she dropped Cheryl's decapitated head on the ground. We heard someone chuckle and we turned to look at Vigor.

"Your mistake is that you left an unconscious Vega, alone. Now she only listens to me" he said with a dry laugh while pointing to his temple, he looked at her and he pointed to me.

"Bring me....her heart" he ordered, Vega's eyes turned black. At first she was shaking trying to stop herself from moving, but her nose started bleeding and she gave up on fighting the order.

"She won't stop unless the order is done or..." he made a dead gesture scratching his neck from side to side, he laughed while Vega made her way towards me, her steps fasten and soon her walking turned into running. Before she could reach me, someone tackled her on the ground hard and tried to punch her, Vega caught Theo's fist because of course she was stronger and she launched her into the sky with a hard kick. Theo fell holding her side in pain but still tried to get up to reach me before Vega does.

It was too late she was out of control and right in front of me....
