CHAPTER 15

Vega

I went to the barn owned by Cheryl, that's where Gaia was imprisoned. I've been making her write letters for Juno, she still thinks her mom is on a business trip. I opened the door and found her in the same place she was in before, chained to a chair.

How did I manage to trap her here when she was much stronger than me? remember that device thingy that Cheryl has in her room. That isn't a communication device, it's a mind control remote. As soon as I put it on her head, she listens to all I say. We were going to use that on Juno but the circumstances made us do otherwise. Gaia had her suspicions on us and I wasn't going to make her ruin this plan. The plan that I now regret.

"Unchain me and watch what I do to both of you" she said with a smirk, her bracelets were still sealed on her wrists and she couldn't use her powers. I sighed and pulled a chair then sat down in front her.

"Gaia, Vigor took Juno." I said leaning on my hand, the queen was breathing heavily if it wasn't for the cuffs I would've been dead by now.

"I am going to kill you Vega" she mumbled pulling on the chains, I sighed and rubbed my face in frustration. Cheryl and I decided on trying to get Juno out of there with the help of Gaia, we still didn't put a plan but I'm sure with the help of the queen we may succeed.

"I have a deal for you" I leaned back on the chair and folded my arms in front of me. I was hoping she'd accept the deal because it was our only choice. That, or the device.

"A deal? You must be fuckin joking" she laughed sarcastically, I stood up grabbing the box from the table and opened it scanning the small metal device than put it back.

"We save Juno for you, and you spare our lives" I said looking back at her,

"Our lives for Juno's, I won't let anything happen to her if you swear you won't kill me or Cheryl." She glared at me intensely probably thinking if she should or shouldn't accept the deal.

"How can I trust you again after what you did Vega? Hm now riddle me that?!" She yelled, I sighed and squatted down in front of her.

"If I don't save Juno, I give you permission to kill me Gaia. You have my word. But not Cheryl, me." After a few seconds of thinking she nodded, I knew she won't trust me after what I did but we have no choice.

I unchained her but I still didn't unlock her bracelets. She stood up and took a deep breath, with the next step she took I saw her fist coming towards my face at full speed. I dropped on the ground holding my nose in pain, with bracelets and she's still strong, I completely forgot about that.

"If my kid is hurt, I'm killing anything that breaths my way, including your Cheryl" she kicked me in the stomach and walked out of the barn, I sighed and got up following after her. Cheryl was standing in front of the empty field with an awkward face. The queen ignored her and pushed past her towards the aircraft behind Cheryl.

"You'll have to be chained when we arrive" I said as we all got inside, it was a military plane, could go invisible and travels in light speed. Starla's last designs.

"If you dare lie to me Vega..." I heard her mumble under breath while we all buckled our seatbelts. It was going to take a few hours to reach the planet, I was the main pilot and Cheryl the copilot.

"You sure she's not going to kill us?" Cheryl mumbled nervously I nodded and focused on the roaring engines. I wasn't a hundred percent sure if we were safe, but I know Gaia would do anything to save her kid.

"I'm sure if Juno is hurt we'll be dead before we know it" I said sarcastically, Cheryl didn't find it funny at all. For the rest of the "trip" a chatted with Cheryl about the plan.

"I think, your mother has planned all of this, as soon as we land we're all going to be captured" we heard Gaia say behind us.

"My mother has no idea we're trying to save Juno" Gaia laughed and sat back on her seat, I gave Cheryl a look and she just shrugged her shoulders.

"Valeria is a smart woman, she'd know your change of behavior as soon as she sees you." She put her seatbelt on and crossed her legs.

"So you better have a great escape plan, or be ready to kill your own brother and mother for my child, and I'm sure you won't be able to do that. Will you Vega?" She smirked, she was right we had to think everything through before we make any stupid decisions.

"Even if you decide to overthrow your mother, there was only one person able to defeat her and she's dead" Gaia said, I gave Cheryl a side look.

"Tell her" she mumbled,

"You tell her" I replied,

"You know her better" she said back,

"Y-" I was caught off by a hand tangled in my hair, my head was pulled back harshly. Cheryl winced as well and I saw Gaia grabbing her by the hair as well, she leaned between us with a glare.

"I have a feeling you're both not telling me something" she said through gritted teeth, she let go pushing our heads forward and I rubbed the back of my head in annoyance. So aggressive and for what, damn.

"She's still alive, just preserved or whatever. It's like a coma" Cheryl explained, Gaia put her hand over her mouth in surprise. She was indeed right, Starla would be the right option if we want to overthrow my mother. But if we fail, she wouldn't care about her flesh and blood, we all would be in deep shit.

"Go back to your seat, we're landing" the familiar green planet was right in front of us, the closer we got the harder it was to control the aircraft. I reached the flight path the wheels came out and we were reading to land. After a few minutes, the engines were off and we could unbuckle our seatbelts.

I went to Gaia who was still shocked from the news she just heard, I chained her arms and legs and opened the exit doors. The smooth and clean air filled my body and I sighed in satisfaction.

"I hope you know what you're doing" I heard Gaia say under her breath as guards made way for us with a bow.

"Yeah, I hope so too" I pulled her by the chain inside the castle, the royal palace had it's own plane path, or aircraft path, so we weren't in a public area. We were quickly escorted inside without question, Cheryl was by my side trying to keep herself calm while I just acted the way I always do. Cold.

"Princess wel-" one of the guards tried to say but I quickly pushed him out of the way making him stumble back.

"Fuck off" I said, he bowed his head and we made our way inside the throne room where my mother and brother would be waiting for us.

"My dear Vega, welcome back my daughter" I heard the familiar voice say, she still looked the same, same smirk and same evil look. I pushed Gaia to her knees and walked to my mother giving her a quick bow.

"Glad to be back mother"
