"So you're not in the talking stage with her, anymore?" Axel chuckled, while Jayden pushed him, playfully.

They were standing in the school's hallway. Jayden was catching everything up with him about what happened with Astraea last night.

"Man, f*ck off. I don't know what to do anymore. It's been three days and not touching her makes me go crazy." Jayden frustratedly said.

"I even tried to text her and she left me on read." Jayden showed his full on, non-stop messages.

"Why won't you just tell her what's going on." Axel said.

"Think about it, if the roles were reversed. You would get annoyed to, by being left in the dark."

"I'll tell her soon, not yet."
Jayden mind began to wander.

Thoughts of her leaving him, interrupted his mind.

'What should I do?' He thought. 'Her leaving me, would completely destroy me.'
He couldn't bear that in his mind. Let alone in reality.

"Curt incoming." Jayden mind came to a stop.

He turned to look at Curt, who came walking in to the hall.

He knew he was at fault by what he had done. Curt was one of his close friends, he couldn't let him just walk off like that.

"Curt wait up!" Jayden yelled, jogging towards him.

Curt looked at him boredly.

"Save it." He said, about to walk away.

But Jayden stopped him.

"Listen, please. I'd like to apologize."

Curt hesitated.

"Please."

"Talk."

Jayden started, by saying: "I'm really sorry for what I did to you. What I did wasn't what a best friend should do. I wish I could tell you that I could leave this girl and leave everything behind us, but I can't. I would lie if I said that I didn't care about her. Because I care about her deeply. More than I would like. But I'm truly sorry for being a sh*tty friend to you. It would mean a lot if you would accept my apology, because I would like my bestfriend back, please."

'Damn.' He thought.

Even Curt was in shock.

Jayden wasn't a man with a lot of words. So when he said all that it really took him by surprise. He knew this girl had a good influence on him. Even he could see that she had a good impact on him.

"F*ck off man, you shouldn't have gone that deep you know how I get." Curt started saying, pretending to cry.

Jayden rolled his eyes.

"Hey, I should be the one to roll with my eyes. But I can see that she makes you become a better man and I don't mind a softy Jayden." Curt laughed.

"I'm already regretting my apology." Jayden said.

Axel came and hugged them both.

"Yes, the gang is back."

Jayden groaned, shrugging his hand off him. He started to walk away.

"Oh, come on." Axel said to him.
••••••

"Damn, Jayden. If you bite on your teeth that hard it might cause you to lose some teeth." Curt said.

Jayden and his friends were sitting on the bleachers watching Astraea unknowingly talking to a guy, that's flirting with her.

"I'm going over there." Jayden said standing up, only to be blocked by his friends.
