Jaden watched the way she walked. He was enchanted by her. The way she held her head up high, oozed confidence. She still looked so innocent. It felt like he knew her, while there was still a lot he needed to find out about her. He didn't know what he wanted from her. In the beginning he thought that he wanted to f* her. But now.. . Now he doesn't even know what he wanted from her. But one thing he felt was for sure. He felt the need to protect her.
Astraea was a bit shy and didn't know what to say, but she tried to cover her shyness by making her look that she was confident.
When she came down from the stairs, she heard Vera say, well yell: "You look gorgeous!" "Thank you." She smiled. Then both Vera and Astraea looked at Jayden for a second, because they didn't hear anything from him.
He just stood there. His face blank. Emotionless. You couldn't read anything, even if you tried. Vera says: "Why are you acting like this? Say something. Astraea he's probably just speechless of how beautiful you look. There's no way you don't. Look at how--"
"You look gorgeous." Jayden interrupts her looking at Astraea. Vera and Astraea looked at Jayden. Vera sneakily smiles and takes her leave.
Astraea blushes and says: "Thank you."
Jayden felt like he forgot something. Unconsciously he looked at her neck and just then Jayden remembers her ring. "I've got something that belongs to you." When her ring appeared Astraea is shocked: "What? Thank you so much. I've looked everywhere."
Jayden slowly approached her with the ring. "May I?" He asked. Astraea hesitated at first and then nodded her head. She brought her hand to him, moving her head to look at what he was doing.
Her smell invaded his nose. He wanted to make this moment last forever. He put the ring around her finger, while he was locking the outer ends with each other. Her skin felt so smooth and soft.
Astraea muttered: "Thank you." She shyly smiled.
They stood close to each other, but there was a decent space between the two of them. "You should wear that dress to the ball." Jayden says. Astraea laughed: "I'm not gonna go there uninvited. It was a one time thing anyway, to wear this kind of dress." Jayden replied with: "You should wear dresses like this more often." He said emotionless. Astraea blushed.
He couldn't stop looking at her or rather starring. Her luscious, shiny lips were begging to be kissed. He wanted to kiss her, till her lips were bruised.
'Up close he's even more handsome.' Astraea thought. His eyebrows were defined perfect. His gray eyes held something in them as he was looking at her. That she couldn't read. 'This guy could be a model.' She thought.
There was a piece of hair in front of Astraea's face. Jayden wanted to push it behind her ear, but he couldn't. He knew it was wrong. 'What was he doing?' He thought. She is innocent, fragile.
He took a step back and said: "I should take you back home." She was confused. 'What was going on?' She thought. She didn't understand anything. He was a very difficult guy to understand. You couldn't figure out what he was thinking.
"Did I do something?" She asked. "No, it's getting late. I should drop you off." He said coldly.
The 'Book' project long forgotten.
••••••The rain and soft music filled the car up once again. Astraea was back in her clothes and had the dress in a bag, because Vera didn't budge with taking the dress back.
Astraea had enough of it. "What did I do?" Jayden said: "Nothing." "You're lying. Why are you acting like this?" Astraea asked. "And don't lie to me, cause I don't like liars." She said. Jayden sighed.
