Astraea felt uncomfortable in bed. Like her body felt weak.
She opened her eyes only to come in contact with lights. She couldn't handle the burning pain her eyes felt.
She felt like her legs and inside were on fire. She tried thinking about what happened last night, but she couldn't remember anything.
When her eyes adjusted to the lightning, she stood up, only to fall on the ground.
She sat in a sitting position.
Doing a quick scan at herself, Astraea realised she was in a long T-shirt and some shorts.
She started to panic. Her mind began to wander and question if she had sex.
Astraea thought that that couldn't be it.She held onto the bed for some assistance.
The questions wandered around her mind.
She looked around for her clothes or for her phone, but she couldn't find them.
Astraea made her way through the door, making hissing sounds. She tried to be quiet so that she wouldn't get caught.
After a while of searching for a way to get downstairs, she found the stairs.
Making her way down the stairs, her legs started to give away.
She struggled holding herself up. At the last three stairs, her knees gave out.
"You should not be walking." Jayden hurriedly made his way towards her.
She looked up to see Jayden above her.
Astraea didn't want to make assumptions, but her emotions went wild. She didn't know what she was doing here. Astraea was confused, and the tears in her eyes overwhelmed her.
Jayden tried to help her up, but she pushed him away from her.
"Let go of me!" She yelled.
She started to back away from him.
"What am I doing here, and why am I in pain?" She said in a softer voice, on the edge of breaking down in tears.
"Astraea--" Jayden sighed. He didn't know how to tell her.
There was a long silence between them.
"Just tell me." A tear rolled down from her cheek. Already knowing what was going to be said.
"Jayden! Just tell me!" She started to shake her head.
"Astraea, just calm down, please." Jayden tried telling her to calm her down.
"I was raped, wasn't I?" She said in a defeated tone.
"Tell me!" Astraea started to cry, placing her hands on her face from the shame that she felt.
Jayden made his way towards her, only for her to be hitting his chest.
He grabbed both of her wrists.
"Let me go!" She struggled in his hold. He held her tightly but not too tight to have her be in pain.
"I told you to leave me alone. Why couldn't you just leave me." In that moment, Jayden felt a quick pain that he didn't feel in a while.
"Are you serious? Astraea, I'm not leaving you ever. Even when you hate me."
"Hey, look at me." He uplifted my head.
"I'm so dumb. It's all my f*cking fault." The sobs were getting louder by the minute.
"Tell me that it's my fault, Jayden."
