I moved to Atlanta from Philly about four years ago to pursue my career as an attorney. I'm in school right now and currently have a job working as a paralegal. Life here has been good so far, I miss home and my family but I left to better myself. Good news is my brothers and cousin are moving down here next month and I couldn't be more excited. The downside of being here is the dating pool is trash. Either their insecure or gay. Or DL. I'm starting to give up on finding a man. I can just fuck myself and be stress free.
It's 8:45 and Fatima is running late for work this morning for some reason she just couldn't pull it together. She takes her time getting dressed. She puts on a black Versace dress with a deep v cut neckline outlining her perky yet perfect 36C cup breast. Her silver pearls from Tiffany's to compliment the look. She grabbed her open toe black Christian Louboutin heels to show off her freshly manicured toes. And the Christian Louboutin Cabata East-West tote and headed towards the door. Before walking out she passed the mirror "Damn I'm fine" she said staring at her reflection.
She realizes how late she is so she rushes to car and starts up her BMW X6 gives herself the once over in her mirror and pulls out. She is still planning on stopping to get her favorite coffee and bagel from her favorite spot Toast on Lenox. Even though she needs to be at the courthouse in 20 minutes. She arrives at the restaurant gets her order and is rushing out the door. She has the papers that need to be filed in her hands as they begin to slip. Taking her attention from her surroundings trying to gather her belongings when she bumps into someone, sending her papers to the floor and causing her coffee to spill on her. "Shit that's hot" he exclaimed before making eye contact with what she felt was the most perfectly crafted man God ever created. Stunned and taken aback by his attractiveness she shook her head to snap out if. Still feelin the burning sensation from the spilled coffee. "I'm sorry" they said in unison. "It's ok I wasn't paying attention my head is everywhere I'm running late." "Here let me help you" the Godlike man spoke handing her, her items.
There he was a dark caramel well groomed fine ass specimen of a man fresh cut and beard looked like it was shaped up with the blade of an angel. He didn't have on anything flashy a form fitted white crew neck Tee rested up against his chiseled chest that hugged the cusp of his biceps. He wore a pair of black slim fit Amiri jeans that were held up by a Gucci belt. On his feet he wore a pair of wheat timbs. He wore no jewelry except a pair of 2 carat diamond stud earrings and that was all he needed. It was something so sexy in his simplicity. Reminded her of the men back home. "Where this nigga been the past 4 years" Fatima thought. They have brief exchange and she leaves without giving him her number. She got back in her car and says out loud "Bitch you shoulda gave him your number".
She finally makes it to the courthouse to file the papers. She now has a meeting back at the office that she needs to be on time for. So she leaves in a hurry.
"Got damn ATLANTA TRAFFIC" she says frustrated.
Back at the office everyone is starting to file into the meeting she puts her things in her office and heads to the meeting. Greeting everyone she takes her seat. The meeting wasn't anything she desired to sit through since it was nothing important anyway. She listened to the dry voices until her mind drifted to the man she had run into earlier that morning. Smiling at the thoughts of how gorgeous he was, she was quickly brought back to reality by a sharp nudge in her side. "What are you so cheesy about today" her boss Andrea who everyone referred to as Andi asked. "Oh! Nothing it's just a great day" she said embarrassed because this nigga got me smiling and all I know is his name. "Mmmhhhmmm tell me later" "I wooooouuuullldddd but there's nothing to tell".
The meeting has ended and everyone is back in there offices. Fatima finishes up her work for the day and is ready to head home. She stops and picks up something to eat before going in. She gets settled and sits her dinner in the microwave to keep warm until after her shower. She strips down and walks into her bathroom. She turns the water on and checks the temp. She walks to the sink to wash her face before she gets in. When she notices a small red mark left by the hot coffee she spilled on herself earlier during her run in. Which made her smile at the man she met and didn't know "damn this nigga done left a mark on got me smiling and shit" she aid to herself while examining the bruise. Who is this man I gotta know.
Now out the shower and completely ready to relax she throws on a cami and some shorts. In the living room she turns on the TV and warms up her dinner. She sits to eat and turns through the channel until she finds something to watch. After her dinner is done and she's getting sleepy she gets a phone call.
"Hello?"
It's a guy she met a few weeks ago at the courthouse and he has been trying non stop to get her attention. She'd given him her number because he wasn't a bad looking guy and he had something going for himself. But he was just a little too thirsty for her liking.
"Hey wassup I was just calling to see how your day was.?" The guy on the phone spoke
"It was alright uneventful" Fatima lied now Thinkin about the guy
"Had you let me take up out for lunch it may have been different"
Thinkin nigga NO IT WOULDNT HAVE. Fatima responded with "Maybe next time" knowing damn well it'll never be a time. "We'll look I was just about to lay down I have an early morning, thanks for calling I'll catch up with you late.."
They say their goodbyes and she's laying in bed. Wtf did he say his name was Fatima thought about the guy that ran into her.... Ahh Zac... Where the fuck can I find Zac..... She drifted off to sleep
