Where Loyalties Lie?

Zac sat in his office contemplating how he would break the news to the family. He wanted to give Phil a chance to explain himself, as his business grew he understood there was always more to the story that meets the eye. He'd been so lost In his thoughts he hadn't noticed Khloe climbing on his desk. Once he snapped back to reality he picked her up and shared a few moments with her before Kameron came in. The three played in his office for a while. The twins began to fuss about being hungry so Zac decided to cook until Fatima came in from her self care day. She had taken Andi and Mariah with her. Keisha met them for lunch she'd been spending a lot of time with Demetrius getting closer to him and bonding with the kids. They seemed to be hitting it off pretty good. At the restaurant Fatima decided to shoot Zac a text.

My Love: Just a heads up I'm about to tell Andi. Have you talked to Phil?

From; My Love: Not yet he's otw. The rest of them Niggas coming too

My Love: Ok Good! And you owe me Nigga?

From; My Love: I always owe you get off my phone Tima

My Love: 😂 byyyyyeeee love you

"My Loved loved a message"

Fatima laughed at his reaction and placed her phone on the table.

"Wassup T? Why you so quiet?" Keisha asked

"Yeah Tima seem like you got something on your mind. Talk to us girl" Andi said grabbing her hand

Fatima looked at Andi with sincerity in her eyes, she wasn't sure what to make of the photo but she needed her friend to know.

"Andi, Zac and I got a little bit of information and I need your input." Fatima spoke somberly

"Ok girl why you acting so weird. Tell me what it is and I'll tell you what to do"

"I'm afraid it's a little more complicated than that Andi it involves-"

"Pooh shit spit it out. You got us all on edge now" Mariah said growing tired of the slow talking.

Fatima shot Mariah a look then turned back to Andi. She opened her phone and showed Andi the picture. For a moment she just stared, then she tried to speak before stopping and staring again. She didn't know how to tell Fatima she'd already known about the secret meeting her father had with the detective. So she decided she give her version of the story until she spoke with her father about revealing what this was about. Andi sat with her thoughts for a moment and Fatima and the girls allowed her. They assumed she was stunned by her fathers betrayal and knew that Andi and her father kept a close relationship. They let her revel in the moment until the silence became too loud. Breaking the silence the girls sat as they allowed Andi time to get her words together. She handed Fatima her phone back.

"Have you guys spoken to my father yet?" Andi asked nervously

"Not yet he's headed to the house to meet with Zac now"

"Good we should probably wrap this up and meet them there"

"Wait Andi why do we need to be there. Zac will fill me in."

Andi gave Fatima a "trust me you want to be there" look.

"What aren't you telling me Andi? Did you know about all this?" Fatima asked

"I did and you should know if I could've told you I would've"

"Andi please tell me you and yo father ain't no snakes. We done had enough of that shit" Mariah said still eating

"You starting to act just like Troy eating while shit getting real" Keisha joked causing everyone to laugh

"If it was some shady shit I would have kept my distance. Think about it turning on Zac would mean my father implicates himself" Andi retorted
