Flashback
"Why does that matter, just take the money but leave my kids with me!" Jeff spoke"It matters, you're the reason I'm on drugs. You knew the temptation I would face after the first time"
"Nobody forced you to be a fuckin addict. I didn't know you liked to get high!" Jeff said growing more and more angry as the conversation progressed
"Had you and David not asked me to run drugs for y'all I would be clean!"
"Let's get one fucking thing straight! I didn't ask you to do shit, you decided to go behind my back and make moves. You were fine at home living the life raising our kids. You needed for nothing."
"It's boring in here alone just me and the kids and they're getting bigger and doing things with friends now. You're always gone what was I supposed to do?" She spoke sincerely
"You were supposed to fucking say something to me Tonya. I am your husband! I would've made time for you. I always have. I have never missed one of Zac's games or Keisha's many recitals. I have always made time"
Tonya sat silent. She didn't speak. She was faced with the fact that she failed to communicate with her husband. The truth was she had no reason to do the things she did. Jeff has always made sure he was present in his Family. He didn't allow the streets or his business to keep him away. Silent tears began to stream down the face of a regretful mother and wife. She had done the unthinkable and didn't know how to come back from it. Before speaking she let out a long sigh.
"Jeff I... I need to tell you something" she solemnly spoke
"No need I have already drawn the divorce papers all you have to do is sign." He said cold and stern.
"DIVORCE? What the fuck do you mean divorce we are not breaking up our family because I relapsed. This is about another bitch ain't it? You ain't slick motherfucker I knew it."
"No this is about what you were going to say before I mentioned divorce. You should've stayed off David's dick and leaned on me instead you hopped on the next man's tool thinking it would solve a problem between you and I!"
Jeff never raised his voice he kept his cool and also the respect because she bore his children. Tonya sat with her mouth open shocked by his revelation.
"How'd you...?... Jeff I'm sorry it was a mistake-" cut off by the wave of Jeff's hand
"Save it. Keep your apologies I don't need them. What I need is for you to sign these papers and leave this house." His eyes had turned cold and saddened.
Although he had known for months what his wife and at the time his business partner had been up to he never uttered a word. He never showed any signs of suspicion he carried on with business and affection as usual. It still pained him to know the woman he spoke so highly of. The only woman he has ever loved could betray him.
"Jeff hear me out-" cut off once more
"I don't want to hear u out. Sign the papers and see yourself out! PLEASE!" Raising his voice his deep baritone echoed through the halls of the house.
Tonya signed and begin to walk out. But before she could leave
"And Tonya tell David I know what y'all been planning" he said with a menacing grin.
Truth is Tonya though Jeff was speakin of them forcing him out the business and raising their children together because no one else knew of the plan to kill him other than herself and David. She exited the house with one statement
"Oh you have no idea what he's planning"
The door shut and that was the end of them.
