Kat POV

I ran to the bathroom and started to clean myself up so the coffee wouldn't stain.  As I was cleaning my shirt my eyes were welling up with tears, instead of wiping them away I just let them fall.  I just started crying and I didn't know that someone was behind me.

"Hey Kat, are you ok?," I heard someone say and I turned around and saw that it was Shawn.

"Good, other than the iced coffee that was dumped on me I think I'm ok," I said sarcastically.  I knew that he could sense that I was not ok and that I have completely broken down.

"To be honest, I didn't think Addison would stoop that low." He said then paused, "actually now that I'm thinking about it yeah she would."

"Apparently there is no other level for her to stoop down to," I said rolling my eyes and still cleaning the coffee on my shirt.  I still had some coffee on my face but I was focused on my shirt.

"Here, let me help you clean that up," Shawn said as he grabbed a paper towel, turned on the sink and placed the paper towel underneath the running water to get it wet.  When he was done he placed the wet paper towel on my cheek and started wiping off the coffee.  While he was doing that, I noticed that he was very close to me but I didn't mind.  The way that he was wiping my face was soft and gentle.  I wonder how it would feel having his hands around my body and his lips on mine.

"You know that this is the girls restroom right," I told him because I didn't want him to get in trouble.

"I know." He said," I came here to make sure you were ok."

"Really?"

"Yeah because I feel bad for what she did to you."

"Don't feel bad.  I kind of deserved it," I told him.

Shawn POV

"Don't feel bad. I kind of deserved it," she said.  I felt pain my heart when she said that because she doesn't deserve to be treated like that.  What she did to Addison was bad but it was  just a mistake.

"Can I ask you something?," I asked her and I saw a tear fall down her face.  I placed my thumb on her cheek and wiped it away.

"Go ahead," she said as she looked up at me.

"Was it a mistake when you slept with Cody?," I asked.

"It actually was," she said.

"Really?"

"Yeah it was. We were both at a party and we got drunk.  He was telling that he shouldn't have broken up with me and that he missed me.  I told him that it was just his drunk thoughts saying that but he told me that his feelings for me never left." She said, "I asked about his relationship with Addison and that it would feel wrong for us to hook up.  He told me that I was able to give him something that she couldn't and next thing you know, we had sex."

"Wow, why didn't you just tell her that? I mean she would understand that it was just a mistake."

"Cody told me not to say anything," she said as her voice cracked.

"Why?," I asked.

"Because he didn't want to hurt her.  Besides my reputation is as bad as it was.  I didn't want to make it worse," she said.  As she was saying that, a million thoughts were running in my head right now.  I still had the paper towel in my hand and it was still placed on her cheek.  I took my hand away from her face and threw the paper towel in the trash.

"Don't let that reputation be who you are," I told her.

"It makes me who I am," she said.

"It shouldn't," I said.

"Why?"

"Because its not the real you." I said," it doesn't define you."

"You really think so?," she said.

"Of course I do." I told her, "I think you use it as a wall to protect yourself so you don't have to open up."

"I guess you could say that's the reason why," she said. When I was done helping her clean up the spilled coffee that was all over her she gave me a small smile.  I saw that were still some coffee stains on her shirt so I reached into my bag and gave her my favorite hoodie.

"Here take my hoodie," I said while handing it to her.

"I don't think I should. What if you need it?," she said.

"You still have coffee stains and you're a little wet. Just take it," I insisted.  She took the hoodie from my hand and put it on. I laughed at how it fit on her small frame because it was so big.  I heard the principal ask me why I was in the girls bathroom and I told her I was just leaving.  I walked out the door and Kat followed me.

"Consider this as a thank you for taking care of me when I was drunk," I said to her.

"Thanks Shawn.  I really appreciate it and thanks for helping clean me up," she said.  We were in the middle of the hallway and when she thanked me, she went on her tippy toes and gave me a kiss on the cheek then she left.  I stood there in shock because she just kissed me.  Even though her lips were on my face for just a second, I felt a warm sensation in my stomach while she placed them on my cheek.  I realized that I am falling for her and I'm falling for her pretty hard.
