"I'm coming in- huh... What?" Yoshida's voice called, pushing open the door to the bathroom, and staring in shock at the sight.

Today was Monday, the start of the school week for Denji! I had spent the entire weekend slopping through paper work with Yoshida's organization and Japan's nation affairs that I couldn't even go home to see Denji and Nayuta. When I did, which was sometime around yesterday evening, Denji was doing Chainsaw stuff so Nayuta and I did her homework together.

It was only this morning that I got to see Denji, so of course I was gonna make the most of our time together before he goes to school.

Hehe.

Currently, I was standing atop a stool in the bathroom, holding a toothbrush as I carefully brushed Denji's teeth, with his uniform pristinely on, while his hands were wrapped loosely around my waist. My eyes parted to look over at Yoshida in surprise, but I couldn't linger on him for long, as Denji jealously tightened his grip on me, and quickly stole my attention back.

It did more than steal my attention, though, as I swore my heart almost skipped a beat.

"I..." Yoshida sighed breathlessly, fingers reaching up to cover his lips for a second. "G'morning Yoshida! Did you see the lunch I made for Yuyu? I know she likes sliced bread, and I saw in this lady's memories a cool toast recipe-ish. Did you know that you can put both butter and jam on bread? Amazing!" I cheered, holding Denji's chin gently as I ran the toothbrush over his back teeth.

"Aughf!" Denji replied happily, and I only nodded at his sound, despite not understanding a word. "You'll have to try it sometime, yeah? Aw... look at how pointy and clean your teeth are," I cooed, easily distracted once again by his looks. The boy only flushed, eyes shifting away for a second.

"Okay, I'm done." I hummed as the blonde slowly pulled off me at my release. Running the faucet, he began to rise out his mouth with some funny noises, reaching behind him to take his toothbrush from me. "Than...ks," he mumbled out between rinses, shooting me a charming peace sign between his toothbrush.

Giddy, I only nodded, hopping off the stool and beginning my exit out of the bathroom. Gosh, Denji was a little too handsome. The p—

"Oomp-"

Instead of leaving the room, I ran promptly into a hard chest. Annoyed, I shot my eyes up to Yoshida, who only peered down at me quietly, his fingers still over his lips in thought. He just stood there, staring at me very quietly, squinting ever so slightly.

Not going to lie... I was a little uncomfortable, and extreme confused by it all. What was he thinking so hard about?

Either way, I've been standing right here for too long... I still really want to leave.

"(y/n), Denji."
He finally broke his silence. At the mention of his name, Denji turned the sink off with a confused hum, throwing one final spit into the sink.

"Let's talk in the living room." Yoshida stated briefly, that same unreadabl-y friendly look on his face. Shortly after, he turned the corner and was gone.

"What's he on about?" Denji perked, eyebrows weaving in confused annoyance. Taking advantage of the boy being still, I quickly reached over and buttoned up his uniform buttons, causing a few unhappy grumbles from him. "I dunno, we should see... in oneee sec', I've got five more buttons to go."

"(yyyy/nn)," he whined, dragging out my name, "leave 'em... I look like a dork all buttoned up." The blonde protested, though a soft flush danced in his cheeks. "Ah? Is that so? Sorry.. here I'll take them down, see?"

"Anytime, guys." Yoshida called again.

Sitting awkwardly on the couch with Denji, we only stared in confusion at the pretty boy across the way. His stance a little too neutral... It kinda made me worry.

Pressing my lips fondly together, I reached over and grabbed onto Denji's forearm, causing a satisfying gasp to fall from his tongue. Once again, his gasp was all fluttery, breathy, and girly- just the way I liked it.

"Don't you guys feel... Maybe a little codependent of one another?" Hirofumi finally broke out, causing an array of gasps to fall off our tongues. None of which were the lovey-dovey gasps, but of shock!

And horror!

"What! No way! We're just... We're close okay? 'S not every day you push outta girl from your own body that has lived through every memory you had!" Denji barked, his body tightening up in defense. "Ji," was all I could explain out as an answer, but I was heated about the question too!

"Maybe, I don't know... You two need a little space from each other?" He posed, stopping to think. "I'll take (y/n) for the week-"

"WHAT!" Denji croaked, holding a hand over me protectively. "Hey don't try to make a move on her pal! She's happily reserved! I'm her boyy... Her friend and I say- No! No way! We are perfectly, normally attached!"

"Denji, look how you're sitting with her right now. The both of your ankles are intertwined like Legos.." He sighed. Honestly he had a point there, we were holding our feet together.

"Besides Denji, you don't have any room for her here... You've got too many dogs, a young girl, yet only two beds. I'm sure Nayuta and you could use some sleep alone yeah? Especially since the dogs practically take up the entire couch at night- that is if on the rare occasion they aren't bunking with the two of you... You know what, it might be best for her to come live with me. If not me then one of our other hunters, or a roommate from school somewhere- I don't know... But you get my point." Yoshida sighed, softly shaking his head before crossing his arms.

He was actually right, so right! Too right! I was speechless... Slowly, my eyes began to drop sadly, my cheek now leaning deeply into Denji's shoulders. For the first time, he actually had no words for Yoshida, being just as silent as I was.

"I'll make arrangements for you, (y/n), okay? After school I'll swing by to pick you up, and we'll go over to my house for a while. Make sure to pack up all your things... Sorry it has to be this way, but this is a little..." He mumbled off, now standing and walking over to the door, where Nayuta stood watching.

"Yuyu..." I whispered sadly, slowly following Denji as he stood. Wordlessly, but annoyed, the blonde marched over to the door, and I followed suit.

Looks like I won't be seeing Denji as much anymore.

I don't know if I'll make it.
