Never actually thought I'd get here.

Guess it never hit me until right just now.

I'm really at Beacon Academy. Me, a starry-eyed 17-year-old with a head full of dreams.

Guess it was about time I'd gotten on to something else. Maybe this could be just what I need.

"Now what..." I looked around, unable to find any sign of where to go. I kicked my foot lightly while sputtering my lips, "Who to ask..." I tapped my finger on my chin while looking around.

There's not many people around...

"Guess I'll just look for who's most lost and be lost with 'em." Sure enough, someone behind me zoomed by with her friends.

I would follow her but I haven't stretched today and I'm not trying to pull anything.

I looked back where she came from and saw a girl in red and black stumble around dizzily, falling down into a bunch of suitcases.

I chuckled at her expense, "Wander Partner found." I said to myself, walking over to her, I watched her get chewed out by the girl in white, likely who owned all this stuff.

"What do you have to say for yourself!?" The White one said down at her, waving the Dust around haphazardly.

"I think she's sorry," I came up next to her, bending down slightly and offering Red my hand, "If I had to take a stab at guessing?" Smirking at her.

She took it and let me pull her up, she's really light, guess she might be a speedy Huntress then.

Wait, is this fire Dust?

Red was about to sneeze, I held her nose closed with my fingers, pinching it down to prevent a sudden ignition.

She backed up and waved it away, seeing it diminish quickly, "That would've been bad for me." I dusted myself off, stepping just once backward.

Right into a suitcase, bumbling over it and bumping into White, making her drop the Dust, "What is with you people and knocking down my stuff!"

"Sorry, I'm fine by the way." Hold on... She looks familiar... "You're uh... Damn, who was it..." I snapped my fingers trying to remember.

"Schnee," A girl in black said, holding the Dust that was dropped up, "Weiss Schnee." That's it! Thanks Black, that was gonna bug me all day.

I knew she seemed smarmy enough to be a part of those slavedrivers.

She took the Dust and marched off, I got up and dusted off my gauntlets, "Had to be a Schnee... She didn't dent you two, did she...?" I talked to my gauntlets, Examining them.

Good and tidy, a compartment opened, I popped the top on the vial she left and put it in, letting it take it in, "Shiny...!" I know, brilliant really.

Red stared at my hands, almost drooling, "What do they do?" She asked, poking at them, "They're gauntlets," I spun the revolving cylinder in them, flicking onto an Orange Symbol. "Elemental Gauntlets."

"Wooooooow..." She seems enamored by them, "While I have this turned on, all this metal is infused with the current element." It's a design that was shared in good faith with the original wielder for a prototype gauntlet from the Schnee Dust Company.

The partnership was short-lived, so I naturally stole the design before they were officially discontinued and whipped up the Elemental Capacitors in them.

She oooed and awed at it, "And, these." I whipped my wrist aside, locking it in place.

8 barrels came from compartments on both my arms, top, bottom, and sides, "Are my Glimmer Gatlings." They fire thick spikes that can tear things apart with their force.

She started poking at the arrowheads in them, "What's this?"

I pulled it back, "Careful! They're way sharper than they look," she jumped a bit at my sudden outburst, "This one is Dollar."

I held out my right fist, the Silver Dollar gleamed with its pretty arrow imbued within, "It gives me a spirit to help me when I fight." She gasped.

"Like a ghost!?" I mean, less of a goopy sheet ghost, and more of a helpful punchy ghost.

"And the other?" She pointed at Golden Child, "This one... I'm not sure, it looks different but, hasn't done anything yet." And I'm getting kinda tired of waiting.

I've had this thing for 2 months and it still hasn't done squat.

"There's this gem embedded in the palm that I can use to absorb the impact of attacks, it's a neat little trick."

"Snazzy, but wait till you see this!" She whipped out a chunky red rectangle that flipped out into a scythe, "How the..."

She slammed the top into the walkway, "Whaddya think? Her name is Crescent Rose." I see, Crescent like the arc in the moon and on the scythes' blade, clever.

"And," She grabbed onto a small bolt on the pole, "It's a gun." Hmm, a gun huh? Can't imagine you could fit too many bullets in that.

Red snapped her fingers, pointing back at my hand, "Can I see it?" Oh, she wants to the Spirit? "Sure." I clenched my right fist and reeled back.

"Magician's Red!" Punching forward, a spiral of fire shot from my arm twirling into a humanoid red man with a bird head, screeching with the flames.

"Cool!!!" She squealed, holding her hands up to her face, "Wanna be friends!?" She asked quickly, "Sure, long as you know where we're goin'."

She scratched her neck, laughing nervously, "Really?" She poked her fingertips together, swaying back and forth, "No friends then."

"C'mon! Please?" She begged, stomping down with her arms out, puffing her cheeks, "Nope."

"Pretty please!" I shook my head, "Nuh-uh." Red puffed out her cheeks more, pouting at me, "Meanie!" I smirked at her frustration.

Magician's Red smacked me upside my head, tsk-ing me before shaking his own, "C'mon man, I was just messin'."

I sent him back in, and he vacuumed into the arrow, taking the fire along with him, "Jackas-"

Red hovered next to me, breathing down my neck, "Fine, friends?" I held my hand out to her, "Friends!" She shook it eagerly, "Ruby Rose!"

"Y/N L/N." We introduced ourselves, "Now, to actually figure out where we're going." I looked around and saw the guy who threw up on the way here coming over to us.

"I overheard you guys, I'm Jaune." I snickered a bit, "Hey! I get sick easily when I'm- stop laughing!" I composed myself, walking with the two aimlessly.

While we went on our way, I looked down at my right hand, along the arrowhead were numbers.

3 4 5 6 7 8.

It just skipped 1 and 2, 3 is glowing slightly at the bottom, and when I last got a new spirit it went up a bit.

"So uh," We stopped, looking around, "Where are we?" I asked, getting shrugs from the two, "We were following you."

I sighed, "Of course you were..."
