Okay, so on the way to the next town, STARRNJR has been coming up with bootleg names for my stands.

Personal favs are Malleable and Moist from Ren, Moody Jazz from Sid, and Shining Diamond from Ruby.

"Hold on..." What if they just throw out random names and get something to just pop up?

I mean... It's a lot faster than just twiddling my thumbs and for a new one to pop whenever it feels like it.

Although I guess one of the stipulations is that i have to feel them in my souls for them to awaken.

Wish I had an ability to just know them all... Maybe if i was a girl and became a Maiden them I'd be able. Although these things seem less like magic everytime i use them.

Those Maidens... Qrow explained them to us. They're always female, there's always four, and the person they think of last as they die becomes the next specific Maiden they were.

Their souls combine in a way, like how the previous Fall Maiden was to be with Pyrrha before...

Amber, this Maiden, was attacked by Cinder and had some of her power stolen, but not all of it.

If nothing happened and all of her power was taken then it would've been catastrophic, but the choice they gave Pyrrha was no choice at all.

When Jaune brought that up and Qrow said those things to him... I felt arms heating up as I looked at him, he knew he said the wrong things.

Jaune and Pyrrha weren't the best with their emotions, neither were especially upfront with each other, but if you had the eye for it then you could tell that he loved her.

This... Her death has weighed on him the hardest. Not only because she's gone, but because of what he thinks she'd want for him.

I feel bad for him. I sympathise with his pain, although knowing you've lost them has to cut deeper than what it is that's going on between me and Sylvie.

I don't want to bring it up to him. I'll support him while I'm here, but it's his own path to walk.

...

Anyways, to cut his long stories short, Qrow says that if you believe Ozpin, which i do, there's 2 gods in this world.

Two brothers, the older one of Light, and the younger one of Dark. Light aimed to created life, plants, animals, water.

While Dark aimed to destroy them, using fires, drought, famine.

Life would always return, so Dark created the Grimm, making the brother of Light step in to propose and idea.

Together, they'd create their masterpiece, something they'd bothe proud of. Something that would create and destroy at will.

It would have choices, free will, distinct Dark and Light, creating Humanity.

Naturally as any teen given a religion shpeel we wondered what it meant for us.

The four gifts to mankind, Knowledge, Creation, Destruction, and Choice aren't a metaphor for us to pray to.

The gods left them in Remnant, and with all four in someone's possession, then someone would be able to change the world.

Which is what the enemy wants. Which is why Beacon was attacked, why all of the academies are in danger.

They aren't there to just train the next generation of Huntsmen, they have us all around to guard our gifts, our Relics.

The schools are like a last bastion to keep them safe. Keep us all safe from ourselves, and of course to keep them out of Salem's hands.

And as crappy as it is that they've stayed silent for the most part, it's understandable why they've been quiet about the Relics publicly.

Any uproar and another Great War would happen, which I'm not trying to be a part of if it does.

Havens Headmaster clearly gets the memo, and with Qrow following us here, I can assume he knows we're on the way too.

It's still a long way, and as much as i hate to admit it... I'm noticing a mental drain with manifesting my Stands for so long.

It's lasted longer than a few days and I'm afraid I'm losing a grip on my abilities. I haven't been using them as much so I'm kinda rusting up.

"If i had one... Huh, Thunderstruck?" Everyones taken to discussing the names of their Stands if they had one.

I wonder what mine would be... If I could really have my own.

Blake groaned, "No concept of privacy," She slapped Sun, "and no respect for personal space!", then slapped him again.

Sun rubbed his head, "I'm sorry okay! Ow! I'm sorry." Blake walked away with another groan, "Look, I swear it was important. I needed to find you and talk to you." Blake asked in an annoyed tone what could be so important.

He brought up his conversation with her mom about the White Fang, "I'm stopping you right there. I told you, I'm not here to fight the White Fang, I'm not here to fight anyone. I'm here to rest, to figure things out and to see my family."

Despite this adamant protesting, Sun brought up how her mom said that White Fang members don't wear mask in Menagerie.

"But i saw one at the market yesterday! I even got a picture!" He reached for his scroll, only for Blake to throw it away. The two angrily looked at each other.

Their gazes slowly turned towards where they saw the phone fly, in the trees... There was a silhouette wearing a white mask.

They jumped away, "A spy!" Blake shouted, jumping into another rooftop to chase them down. Kali came back outside to dee what was going on.

"The White Fang is evil, I totally called it, and I'm bringing your daughter back!" Sun hastily shouted at her as he leaped into the trees after them.

Blake kept up as best she could, chasing them onto rooftops into the town with less open escape routes.

The spy nimbly evaded her, crossing past some piping while drawing their weapon. They aimed it at Blake but hesitantly cut the pipes, making steam cover her.

Sun jumped up from the street, making her stop as Blake jumped over the steam. "Why're you watching me?" She asked.

The spy attempted to run, Sun tackled them to the ground, causing his Scroll to slide away. Blake ran after it while the spy headbutt Sun, breaking her mask a bit.

She tried to get up, but was dogpiled by his Semblance. Blake looked back at the girl, "Ilia..." She muttered with what she could see past the cracks.

"Blake! Behind you!" In a single moment, without a noise or but of warning from her heightened senses, Blake saw someone walk past her.

They were holding the Scroll, "Go." They commanded simply, causing the spy to hesitantly crawl into her feet. She looked at Blake, "You shouldn't have come back."

She slashed the ground to make a smokescreen.

Blake and Sun stared at this figure, "You," he called to Sun, "This isn't your problem. Continue to involve yourself and you will die." He walked by them towards the street.

"Like hell I'm gonna let you take-" Sun saw a gleam in the moonlight as he was press back down, a shining silver blade was pressed against his throat, poking into his neck enough to draw a little blood.

In the blink of an eye he was in the position to kill Sun, "This is beyond you." He muttered, retracting his blade with a spin, flicking the blood onto Blake.

She saw the what she heard Y/N muttering about as he passed out the last time she saw him, "The Silver Mask." He sheathed his blade.

The Silver Mask continued, taking the scroll with no resistance as Blake helped Sun back up into his feet.

"Wasn't that the guy who killed that thing on the boat?" Sun asked. A realization dawned on them both.

They were followed.
