"Lotsa people out today, you'd be real confused if you didn't know the Vytal Festival was going on." Trigger said, walking with us through the streets.
Since a bunch of different people are gonna be here soon, i figured I'd pick up some stuff from the shops before the streets are too crowded.
Mostly for Astra's sake, can't handle crowds. I could send Chariot or Red, but doubt a freaky knight or bird guy would be easy to sell things to.
"What happened here?" There's police tape blocking the road, looks like a Dust shop was broken into, "Second on this month." An officer said.
What would they need with this much Dust? "Think it was White Fang?" Good guess, but no. I don't think they'd pull something like this here.
Maybe that Torchwick guy Ruby told me about. She said he pulled a similar stunt at another shop lile this when she first met him.
I felt Astra tugging on my sleeve, she pointed behind us. RWBY was chasing a Faunus, potentially the culprit, "Good eye, c'mon!" She jumped on my back.
We took off after them, cutting through an alleyway to catch up quickly, I slid out, catching my foot on the curb and kicking myself back onto my feet.
I saw the Faunus jump up on top of a building, "Too fast." I said, setting Astra down while I caught my breath.
I flicked out my Dust out my gauntlets, they were uneven, "Son of a..." I poured them in together, leaving me with a somewhat filled bottle.
"Are these more friends of yours?" An orange haired girl drew my attention, RWBY had all been stopped by her.
"Requiem," I pointed at the small girl behind me, "Astra." I looked back up to see if they caught him, "My name is Penny." Guess I'll see later.
I slotted in my Dust. If i had another bottle then i could chase him. But I left my Thunder Dust at the Dorm room and i don't think Ice would help.
Even if i could use it. Ice is one of the best for chased like this, with my fire as propulsion I could've caught him, but it freezes up my gauntlets. Can't use my arms afterward.
"He's gone." Weiss sighed, going with the rest of her team as the began to leave, "Later, Friend." Ruby said.
The girl had a vacant look on her face, "We should get back too." We walked with them, "See ya around, Buddy."
We all turned the corner, "That girl was something else." I said, hands up and behind my head, "I'll say, what a weirdo."
"What did you call me?" The girl suddenly reappeared in front of us, startling us, "Woah, no offense of course!" Yang said, putting her hands up.
"Not you," She came last them, up to me and Ruby, "You two, did you call me your Friend?" I said Buddy, but it means the same thing I guess.
"Yes?" I said, making her jump for joy, "We can paint each other's nails, and try on clothes and talk about cute boys!" I don't think she understands that guys and girls don't have the same interests.
At least I don't.
"Is this what i was like when you met me?" Ruby asked me, "Eh... Little bit." She shivered, seemingly disturbed by learning this.
"What're you doing in Vale?" She says she's here to fight, "I'm combat ready." Really? She's gonna fight in that?
"In that?" Weiss asked, questioning her choice of clothing, "Says the one in a dress." Blake pointed out, "It's a battle skirt!"
"It's certainly just a skirt, a battle skirt would have faulds." She grimaced at me, stammering, "Well, I like the way it looks then!" Woah, touchy.
I'm just saying, if Full Armor had a skirt the faulds would actually protect me, "There you are." Trigger and Soma found us.
