We eventually managed to find the most lively place, thinking it was likely where we're meant to be.

"Ruby, over here!" Some yellow-haired girl waved her down, calling her over, "Oh! I gotta go, I'll see you guys after the ceremony!" Then she ran off.

"I should find Sid, he's probably lost-" I heard Ruby yell from behind me, "Never mind." I went over to see that Weiss had startled her.

Then gave her super long-winded explanation like a machine about the safety and liability of her Dust.

"I already wanna get away from her..." I muttered, hearing the microphone on the stage peak as the ceremony started.

It was just a bunch of... Weird vague nonsense, followed up by clearer instructions, class starts tomorrow.

"No class? Ah... I'm truly blessed..." I groaned, stretching out and feeling a few joints crack.

Guess I'll follow Ruby and them to the dorms, or just the group they're following would be better?

Eh, doesn't matter.

---------------------------------------------------------

I don't know why, but Ruby insisted we all sleep near each other for tonight since we're all out in the commons for the night.

Her sister, Yang, didn't mind me being closer to her, but not next to Ruby, "Come on." She whined, "Nope, not letting little sis get into anything on her first day." Oh, I get it.

Overprotective older sibling syndrome, it gets us all.

"Shut up," Ruby threw a pillow at Yang's face, "I didn't get to bring any friends with me, so don't ruin my first one already." Don't count on me leaving, this is super fun to watch.

I sat back on my sleeping bag, yawning and hearing another set of voices, that being my friends that came with me.

Sid, my little brother. His hair is a very dark blue like our dad's, long though, and he's short like mom, about 5'8, and his eyes are red.

He's wearing a black tank top with jeans, a red headband, earrings, rings, and wristbands.

Travis, his and my best friend since always. His hair is black, short, and kinda nappy.

He's maybe... 5'11? I think he's just a bit shorter than I am, and he has the same eye color as Soma.

He's wearing a modest two-piece suit, fairly simple for his tastes, just black and white, along with the bowler hat sat on his head.

He's really into that look.

Now comes Ashlyn, Travis' Sister, and a fairly shy little swordswoman. Being 5'8 and sharing the pitch black hair Travis had, being a lot longer though, reaching her knees.

Her eyes were green, like emerald green, the brightest eyes I've ever seen.

She had on a baggy t-shirt, shorts, sneakers, kneepads, and fingerless gloves.

"Guys, good to see you all." They all took spots around us, forming a lovely little group, "There, see." I playfully bumped Ruby's shoulder.

"New friends everywhere." The sound of a match being lit made its way to my ears, "Now for one more." Yang added.

The girl in black from earlier today, she sat against the wall reading a book by a candle.

Yang smirked at me, I got the idea, "No way." Ruby said, I held out my right hand, "Heirophant Green!" The arrowheads glowed green.

A masked humanoid green man slithered around my body, hanging over my shoulder, tendrils hanging wildly.

"C'mon Ruby, don't make me." She pouted, Yang gave me a thumbs up, "Don't blame me." The green tendrils grabbed her, picking her up.

"H-Hey! Let go!" I stood up and walked with her writhing around in Heirophant Greens confines.

Yang waved over to the black girl, just barely coming over the cusp of her book and getting her attention.

She lowered it and saw me dragging Ruby over in a cocoon of green something or others, "Hello!" Yang bombastically said as we got closer.

"I believe you two know each other?" The girl tilted her head at us, "Aren't you the two who almost exploded?"

"What?" Not now, it's all I've talked about today, Yang, "That would be us," I looked back at Ruby, "You can let her go."

Heirophant Green raised her up, placing her on her feet then giving the binds some slack for her to get out, "Thank you." She said to him.

"My name is Y/N, this is..." I held my hand back to Ruby, she meekly scratched her arm, I made Green push her forward a bit.

"C'mon...!" I whispered to her.

Ruby introduced herself, going to shake her hand, but getting left hanging as the girl went back to her book, "Tough crowd." I coughed into my fist.

It was then that saw a Green tendril working it way to the girl, I stepped on it and turned to Heirophant Green, "What did I say?" He threw up his hands quickly.

I reeled back my fist, "Swear to- if you try that again, you're stayin' in there until we graduate!" The spirit nodded.

I sighed, only to realize that they were watching this happen, "Anyways." I coughed into my fist, sending the perverted spirit away.

Ruby struggled to make any sort of conversation, so Yang helped by asking her name, "Blake." Okay, that's progress, maybe Yang knows what she's doing.

"I like your bow," A compliment, that could work, "Goes nice with your... Pajamas." Nevermind, they're both totally lost causes.

"Sorry about them, Blake." I stepped in again, "Please continue to read your book in peace." I motioned my head towards the book while looking at Ruby.

"What's it about?" She asked, getting the hint and finally making her own progress with this girl.

After getting told what its about, Ruby told her how Yang used to read her books about hero's every night before bed.

Probably the same ones a lot of us were exposed to, and just like us, it's why she wants to be a Huntress.

"To fight for people can't fight for themselves," Oh, this quote? "Protect the weak as the strong, so when we're weak later, others who are stronger can protect us." I finished.

"That's one of my favorites." Ruby, I think we may just have what it'll take, "You're very ambitious. But the real world isn't the same as a fairytale." I mean... Not unless we make it.

I mean look, I've got ghosts living in me cause of an arrow, I'd say if this isn't fairytale-ish, then nothing is.

"Aw, I'm so proud of my little sister!" Yang hugged Ruby, lifting her up, "Cut it out!" She shouted, fighting Yang and getting into a play fight.

I sighed, "Heirophant Green." The humanoid came out, restricting the girls in the air, "What in the world is going on over here!?" Weiss...

"Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep-" She saw me and Ruby, "Not you again-" Green tendrils covered her mouth, "Shush! People are trying to sleep!" She protested to having her face wrapped.

"I'll deal with this," I took all three of them up and behind me, "Night, Blake." And walked off to our spots as she blew out the candle.
