Chapter FourI'm washing my face in the girls bathroom sink after crying my eyes out in the toilet. I've been embarrassed and insulted that it's just so hard to immediately forget.
Like, what did I do to deserve such immediate hatred? I know it for a fact that I didn't do shit. I just spoke up to try and defend my friends just like they did with me.
Karan risked his life to protect and defend me but got harassed for it and Luwi splashed Juice on a girl who did the same with me. I appreciate them but what if they just faked looking out for me? I'm a newbie so that means they'll forget about me right after. Soon enough.
I wipe my face and the door opens revealing Luwi. She closes the door immediately she gets in and lightly smiles at me.
"I figured you'd be here," she says.
"What are you doing here?" I ask her a bit cross. She deeply sighs.
"Well,uh,we use the same girls bathroom," she responds and I don't reply.
"I'm sorry about what happened back there. You didn't deserve any of that shit at all," Luwi says as she walks up to me at the sink.
She leans against it.
"Yeah, like I don't know," I rudely respond and Luwi scoffs.
"Why are you so mad even after Karan and I stood up for you?"
"Did I ask for your help?" I rudely ask Luwi who is taken aback by my response.
"Wow! Uh,okay. I thought us going to lunch together meant something. We said we were friends,Kabwe. Why are you acting like this?"
Luwi asks upset with me over the fact that I'm trying to not appreciate them. It's not that,I'm just fucking upset that's all.
"I'm not saying I don't appreciate your gesture of helping my ass out but what I'm tryna say Is that this friendship you and Karan are trying to initiate with me will disappear in thin air real quick," I tell Luwi who is so confused right now.
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
"The gesture you and Karan pulled off was really nice of you but it's all going to disappear real quick because you just knew me like a few hours ago that us being real good friends would just be a waste of time," I tell Luwi who doesn't say a thing.
"You guys probably won't stick around," I say and there is silence between the two of us.
"I got my face shoved in the toilet bowl,I got beat in the face a lot and I was called 'the girl who could see barely' because of the way my eyes look. I know what bullying feels like and I wouldn't want it to also happen to you."
I sigh.
"Thank you but I don't know if we should be friends,Luwi."
