Chapter TwentyCameron has been texting me since last week but I've left all his messages on read. I thought about what would make my family proud and its being educated. I don't want to risk it all because of some stupidly hot guy in school who does nothing but follow me around telling me how much he "likes" me.
I like him too like, really but I'm pushing him away for our own good. Shit might get ugly if we continue being together. I mean every girl in school has probably imagined getting married to him or having to make out with him in the showers but hey,I don't want to waste my time with him. I'm so close to graduating to throw that chance in a dust bin. So that's why I need to forget about Cameron and focus.
I'm holding hands with Luwi as we both get into Math class. We're having a test this morning and I'm excited yet nervous about it.
I take my seat and so does Luwi who just sits next to me.
Everybody in class seems to be in a good mood today. No drama so early in the morning as usual and it's a good thing people are trying to grow up for once.
I look over to Luwi.
"Lu,A's all the way, bitch," I say to her and she looks at me.
"A's on the way," she replies with a smile and takes out her writing utensils. Should I call them that? Anyway, whatever!
Karan then walks into class with Georgie both talking about whatever it is they're looking at in the math text book Karan has in his hands.
"The square root comes in next. Don't make a mistake to use another method of solving this," he says to Georgie and she nods in affirmation.
Karan is the smartest guy I know. I mean he's the robotics and computer programing student captain here and he solves calculus and other math and scientific problems like he was there when the founding fathers were thinking about giving teens a headache with academic work.
But,I'm so glad I have smart ass people who I can he able to call "friends".
"Hey,Karan!" I greet him and he walks up to me and gives me a hug. He perks Luwi on the cheek and takes his seat.
"Hey,Georgie. What's up?" I greet my track star friend.
She's so gorgeous. Great legs and everything.
She is the greatest representation of the school. She has golden medals, trophies and is a track star champion. She is soon going to Harvard university. At least that's what we all know.
"Hey,hey. I missed you, mate," she says playing with my native decorated bead hair. I'm in braids today.
"I miss you every fucking day!" I tell her and she laughs.
"I figured you'd say that but thank you," she replies in her strong yet comprehensive British accent.
The four of us are having a conversation about sports, our elective classes and the crazy shit that happens there and the more tests we've got to deal with.
