Chapter ThirteenI'm walking out of school to the parking lot with Lubemba who is carrying my back pack and holding my hand. I spent the whole two hours in Miss Madeline's office waiting for everybody in school to start walking off ready to go home.
I didn't want to go back to class and be labelled as "the newbie whose ass got kicked on her second day of school!" I couldn't take that risk.
I see Cameron about to get into his car but he spots me and tells his driver to wait up for him for a second. He's running up to me and I'm with my sister!
What does he want?
"Duncan!" He calls out to me but meets eyes with Lubemba as he approaches us.
Her and I stop in our tracks and Lubemba is ready to hear what this guy wants from her little sister but I'm not ready to hear him out. I don't want to talk to him because I don't have anything to do with him.
He's just going to cause me more trouble.
"May we help you with something?" Lubemba asks Cameron who nervously chuckles stammering to speak.
"Hi-how,uh,I'm Cameron. I'm Kabwe's friend and I'd like to talk to her for a moment, please," he tells Lubemba and I'm avoiding any eye contact with this hot ass freak.
"I don't want to talk to you,Cameron. I told you already. Leave me alone, will you?" I finally gather up the strength to tell this boy I don't want to be friends with.
Lubemba looks at me weird like she's trying to find out what the hell happened for me to not want to talk to Cameron.
"Okay, why won't you talk to your friend, lil rock? Did he do something wrong?" Lubemba curiously asks me.
"Really? Now you're using my nick name to refer to me in front of him? Wow. Thanks a lot," I tell Lubemba angrily about her using my nick name only she calls me at home and not in public.
"I'm sorry," she apologises and I deeply sigh.
"And you! Why are you still here?" I angrily ask Cameron who clears his throat to speak.
"You know what? You don't have to say anything,I'm going home," I say and get my back pack from Lubemba and I begin to hurriedly limp to mom's car leaving Cameron with Lubemba.
I don't wanna talk to him.
I reach mom's car and immediately get in not really greeting her. I am really mad about the silly fact that I got beaten up! It's something I shouldn't be proud of.
Lubemba finally gets into the car and quietly takes her seat.
The car is tense and mom doesn't bother to ask but instead starts the engine and drives off. We're going home.

"Nonsense! My baby getting bullied? I won't accept this. I hope your principal will suspend those brats! I hope she does," Mom yells in the car as she drives us home.
Lubemba is at the front passengers seat still sitting there quietly and I'm in the back seat surprised by how furious mommy is.
I mean the furiousity I imagined her to have was by 100 but now it's by a thousand!
